  1. Have now had 6 hours of moderate fluffy snow, if anything its getting heavier, this is a huge bonus. Have now measured an additional 7cm on top of the 15cm on Friday. For my location this has been a great event!
  2. Had light snow here in Brookwood, Surrey. Good dusting so far. The band is on a definite WNW progression, this is a now casting event.
  3. On Friday I HAVE (wild horses coudn't stop this) to drive from Brookwood, Surrey to Salisbury Hospital in Wiltshire, and I HAVE to return late in the afternoon the same day. Usually this run takes me 1h 15 mins each way and includes a drive over the notorious Wallops...needless to say I am taking a shovel, snow chains and a prayer book
  4. Huge thunderstorm has now just taken the TV out...I love British weather
  5. Hail stones for the best part of an hour and lightening...where has all my snow gone?
  6. Boom! Back to heavy snow, dew points falling. (Waves back at MarkQPR)
  7. Now have massive flakes in the rain...2pm cannot come soon enough...need dew points to fall away!
  8. Heavy rain with the odd sleet mix for the last 45 mins here in Brookwood, Surrey....stung by the midday dew points me thinks.
  9. Moderate snow here in Brookwood, Surrey, after a 15 minute clear window.
  10. It has now stopped snowing here in Brookwood, Surrey. Radar appears to indicate a small window, so hoping it will start snowing again soon. Can't complain though, it has been great to watch
  11. Heavy blowing snow, huge flakes now falling here in rural Surrey temp -0.8, i'm @ 192 feet asl.
  12. Huge white fluffy 50p flakes here (certainly not wet snow), at least 5cm on the ground, looking a real picture post card village tonight. Looking at the radar this might be better than the weekend's event! Surrey looks like a bullseye spot, especially towards the north west of the county.
  13. Heavy snow falling now to the west of Woking. Semi rural Village location, so roads quickly becoming covered now.
  14. Moderate snow here to the west of Woking, Surrey. Cars and grass covered, roads becoming slushy.
  15. Peter Cockcroft has just been in ramp mode on BBC London..."significant snow to fall to the west of London", places like Henley and North Surrey look to be in the firing line!
  16. Hello all, ive just moved to Brookwood (semi rural village between Farnborough and Woking)...assuming my drive back up there at 8pm this evening from Poole in Dorset could be a slippery ride?
