  1. COBR - really shouldn't be an A on the end Can also confirm that it sounds likely that there will be a COBR meeting tomorrow. Having the Army on standby is a common thing if a COBR meeting is called for such an event like this, would be kind of pointless to call the meeting and not put contingency plans into use otherwise!
  2. Wouldn't be surprised, was looking forward to this one aswell. Ah well, the price we pay for snow!
  3. It's stalled for now, may get a little bit off it but nothing to write home about, the secondary front is when the fun begins! Great choice in football teams aswell, you 'orns!
  4. Hostage situation at an Oil Refinery, reports that 35 people have been killed, multiple British casualties.
  5. Going to be a very busy day for the Government tomorrow, I've heard whispers that a COBRA meeting may be called due to the bad weather, on top of what's unfolding in Algeria.
  6. All emergency services/councils etc are reporting that they're 'as prepared as possible'. Midlands 10-15cm North West 15-20cm+ South East/London - 5-15cm Will be severe travel disruption.
  7. Keeping an ear out at work as I work for a Government department that deals with emergency planning etc. 5cm of snow for central London is already being thrown about.
  8. Can't get any access to anything at work, recon it'll swing round tonight and give us a little more?
  9. Raining in Central London. What's it like in Harrow/Pinner at the moment?
  10. Work within Resillience, sounds like the line is going to be North of London, will start off as Snow slightly south but will eventually turn to heavy rain.
  11. Back down to 0.0c now and Dew -1.1. Hopefully the band doesn't raise the temp's too much.
  12. If the PPN slows down/arrives later tomorrow afternoon/evening we could certainly see an inch or two
  13. Because the PPN is over Wales and the North West at the moment. Won't make it SE/London till midnight onwards, could accumulate till a couple CM's over night should it not fizzle out over night. The band following behind should be more interesting.
  14. Moderate snow here in NW London, just a matter of time before it starts settling, should have this over us for atleast the next 3 hours.
  15. Still coming down strong, must be about 12-13cm's now. Not enough to take Monday off work though...
  16. Apparently 100 cars have been abandoned in High Wycombe. About 10cm here in West London.
  17. Shouldn't be so suprised the snow hit us a few hours early, after the last week or so anythings possible. Looks like we might get a half decent covering from this. A fair few people in the South East willl be waking up to quite a suprise if it carrys on like this.
  18. A matter of waiting once again, think it'll be down to a lot of Now Casting to see how much we get and in what form. Should be interesting and hopefully a good end to this 'Freeze'.
  19. Slowly fading out/moving northwards, think i'll call it a night. Hope some of you got a good amount out of this.
  20. Very light snow for the last 30 minutes or so, might be able to get another 30 minutes hopefully.
  21. The Radar has reverted to the original. The one you've been watching over the past days is the Premium Version which was avaliable to all.
  22. Not to far away from you, also experiencing the same sort of snow. Sadly it doesn't look like it will last that long as those showers from the East fizzle out.
  23. Watching the Radar in vein hoping for something in the way of PPN over West London but looking very unlikely. Looking quite good (In comparison to the last few upsets) for other parts of the South East, possibly a couple of CM's for a few tonight.
