London & South East Regional Discussion 17th January 2013 22:00hrs>
Yellow Army replied to Snowangel-MK's topic in Regional
COBR - really shouldn't be an A on the end Can also confirm that it sounds likely that there will be a COBR meeting tomorrow. Having the Army on standby is a common thing if a COBR meeting is called for such an event like this, would be kind of pointless to call the meeting and not put contingency plans into use otherwise!- 877 replies

Going to be a very busy day for the Government tomorrow, I've heard whispers that a COBRA meeting may be called due to the bad weather, on top of what's unfolding in Algeria. -

Work within Resillience, sounds like the line is going to be North of London, will start off as Snow slightly south but will eventually turn to heavy rain.- 739 replies

If the PPN slows down/arrives later tomorrow afternoon/evening we could certainly see an inch or two

Because the PPN is over Wales and the North West at the moment. Won't make it SE/London till midnight onwards, could accumulate till a couple CM's over night should it not fizzle out over night. The band following behind should be more interesting.

Moderate snow here in NW London, just a matter of time before it starts settling, should have this over us for atleast the next 3 hours. -

Apparently 100 cars have been abandoned in High Wycombe. About 10cm here in West London. -

Yellow Army replied to Paul Sherman's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
Shouldn't be so suprised the snow hit us a few hours early, after the last week or so anythings possible. Looks like we might get a half decent covering from this. A fair few people in the South East willl be waking up to quite a suprise if it carrys on like this. -

A matter of waiting once again, think it'll be down to a lot of Now Casting to see how much we get and in what form. Should be interesting and hopefully a good end to this 'Freeze'. -

The Radar has reverted to the original. The one you've been watching over the past days is the Premium Version which was avaliable to all. -

Not to far away from you, also experiencing the same sort of snow. Sadly it doesn't look like it will last that long as those showers from the East fizzle out. -

Watching the Radar in vein hoping for something in the way of PPN over West London but looking very unlikely. Looking quite good (In comparison to the last few upsets) for other parts of the South East, possibly a couple of CM's for a few tonight.
