[Arctic Ice 2009/2010]

Even I considered anything above 14m kms2 end of March a result. Not far off the 8th march max.

Or is it just with the -AO the Artic is playing catch

Any thoughts why the melt is slowing down considerably these last weeks? I remember last year(s) it just kept accelerating until mid september...

Logically you would expect an albedo effect to speed the melt up.

Some suggest it's because of the inactive sun that the jetstream is behaving strangely.

If you browse a bit in the showed links there are also reports of absence of monsoons in India and a colder-then-average winter in the Southern hemisphere.

Just a coincidence?
