Ah well looks like rain and maybe sleet for coastal areas of wales according to the bbc weather forecast .brecon beacons, Cambrian mts snowdonia .rain for the rest of us .

Things are looking interesting this weekend and early next week,although i`m no expert like some of you guys i work outside with nature and can see the birds and squirrels are very busy,more than usual !! so something is coming that tells me. as the ground temps drop the worms and little bugs hide making it harder for the birds to find food ,so if you have bird feeders fill them up .

might be freezing up there in ponty but magor ais at sea level and it`s not freezing there!

it's running from south west to north east just underneath you in the channel now - and it's moving slowly northwards too - you should see some light "precip" I think in the next hour or so
be aware though it may not be snow now as it may be too light and the heavier main band may contain the goods if it gets this far north - I'll let you know when it's over you
its to warm out there for snow, i have not long left redwick and it was 5 deg c .

There isn't any settled snow on the roads or pavements where my uncle lives at 200m in Cwmdare, I can't belive you have all that settled snow on the road at only 40m higher Gutting!we have settled snow at 77mtrs here!!

Its been snowing here in newport south wales since 10am and hasn`t stopped i`m 77mtrs asl and have 3-4 inches of snow with more to come by the look !!

couple of inches here in npt at 77 mtrs asl temp is 1 deg c at moment

Its been snowing here for over an hour and a half big flakes and settling now quite fast half inch now over the wet ground on the road and footpaths i`m 77mtrs asl here in newport.

Hi ALL last week took a trip down to slapton sands/torcross in deepest south devon somewhat off the beaten track but absolutly well worth a visit
somewhat chesil beach like in that there is a backwater /lake t,other side of the sands and a haven for waterfowl
the scene of a military disaster in 1944 as a pre-D-Day exercise was attacked by german e-boats google exercise tiger for more info
there is a memorial to the men wh lost their lives in the form of a sherman tank rescued from the sea and put on display
can highly recommend the start bay inn torcross for fantastic food and drink
lots of beach fishing going on too

looks like there is a band of heavier stuff building and heading our way in the next hour or so, i`m amazed at the quality of the snow we have here at the moment. i think by daylight its going to be a winter wonderland all over again.

latest bbc forecast just said they are gong to upgrade the yellow warning for snow to amber later !!!
