  1. Just in from work, this time last night I had to scrap the car off before I could drive home, tonight, parked in same spot, didnt have to, feels warmer and temp outside here in bas showing as 2.5degrees. Still got my snow lanterns intact and quite a lot of snow on the ground, infact my kids school, where it had been closed and the fact they didnt let them on it today, still looks really lovely, how I want to climb the fence and run around like a loon all over it lol.

  2. Just in from work (very early finish for us) hardly any one on the roads, car temp is saying 3 degrees, main roads clear as anything, side roads turned to slush, still lots of snow on ground with no signs of grass peeping through yet lol. What a fantastic day its been, better than I could have imagined last night, apparently son was in bed just after 6pm absolutely shattered from all the running up hills and sledging back down again.

Oh and on Essex FM they have already announced list of schools still shut tomorrow - which amazes me!

  3. Have spent over 4 hours in the stuff today, playing with the kids, we rushed to sports world and brought the last sledge as they opened their doors (they could have made so much more money, if they had been prepared) then found the lovely park near us with big hills and have played to our hearts content, red faces, sore legs and tons of calories burnt up. Been snowing constantly here now with no let up for the last 3 hours, here are some pics:

  4. sorry about that lol must of missed it, Im in Burntmills, starting to snow heavy again now...going to be atleast 6-8 inches by the morning

I work near Burntmills (Hovefields) looks like may have trouble getting there tomorrow evening for my shift, as its a mare trying to get out of our turning when it snows - not that I have had that problem for a few years!!!!

  5. How is this possible

Pleased for you, really I am, but Crikey I am stumped, have not seen a proper Flake, COME ON GOD DAMMIT :D

Still got those nasty pesky Snow Grain Polystyrene Thingermejigs

I cannot understand it either, I will scoop some up and store it in my freezer and send it to you tomorrow if I make it into work (work at TNT lol).

Spoke with a friend who lives on the cliffs in Southend and he had some earlier but not a lot.

  6. Woah hang on! let's draw on all that experience now... It's 20.05 - there are 9 hours before tomorrow morning for you to get your showers. don't panic yet.

I can understand what Paul is saying, because he is literally 15 mins drive from me, he has said what he did have has melted, when we have at least a good 1-2 inches here, its strange because in the past Southend way have always seemed to have more than us in Basvegas.

  7. Im surprised by the Rayleigh, Leigh on sea peeps not having any, we have just had a really big downpour in Basildon, I am quite high up and can see into the town centre, well I can normally, I was putting my son to bed when the sky went orange again and the town lights dissapearred where it was snowing so heavy, good covering all over now, can still see some grass but not much.
