    Snowing heavy yet again in Bushey!

    Been snowing in Bushey, Herts for the past 1.5 hours now. Gets really heavy at times with huge flakes then recedes and we've not got sleety/very fine snow. Lots of snow on the ground, roads are atrocious and it's very very cold.

    Had heavy snow since about 6.30am here in Bushey. Left for work at 7.30am and even in my 4x4 the car wouldn't stop even when going 10mph the roads are that icy. The council haven't gritted the roads so it's absolutely treacherous out there - I turned back after 30 mins. Snow has eased now with just small flakes, but now a good few cms on the ground. Is there more to come?

    Had a few cms of snow in Bushey, Herts last night and on arrival at work in Hatfield it was apparent this area had a good dumping. Lots of snow on the ground even with light rain since early morning. Temp seems to be dropping here aswell and we've had an email to staff advising people to leave early due to impending bad weather. Looks like Herts is going to hit this evening!

    Just back in the fields near our home in Bushey, Herts and still snowing. Snow is fine but really coming down and has done for over an hour now. Can we expect more tonight? You guys seem to know more than the experts!

    Lots of fine snow now in Bushey, Herts. Heavy fall but flakes are very small and nothing like the big lumps we were getting an hour or so ago. Its that it now for this neck of the woods or is there more to come? I have 2 children very keen to know!

    REALLY heavy snow in Bushey, Herts now and has been for the past 30 minutes. Big flakes and settling on top of the 15-20cm we had over night. Is this the main band of snow or can we expect an even heavier fall?

    Been snowing yet again in Bushey for the past 45 mins or so. Not too heavy, but consistent.

    Snow stopped about 25 mins ago in Bushey, Herts but sky looks very heavy. When is round 2 expected here?

    Huge flakes in Bushey and getting heavier. Snow on the steps in my garden must be pushing 30cm - I'll take some photos. The sky is extremely heavy and white, we are getting an absolute spanking here in Hertfordshire. Does anyone know what the likelihood is of even heavier snow for Herts when the main event kicks in later today?

    Heavy snow with big thick flakes here in Bushey (near Watford). Kids school is closed and been told not to bother coming to work as only 40 cars have made it (we have 7000 employees!!). A good 12 cm of snow on the ground here already yet still coming down thick and fast. Is this going to be in for the day? We could get 20cm soon if it continues.

    Heaviest snowfall yet now in Bushey (near Watford) in Herts. Looks like a good 'un for us! Just caught the weather on Sky News, looks incredible for tomorrow. If that forecast proves to be correct, you'd have to be nuts to venture out to work in the morning - you run the risk of not getting home! According to Sky, Home Counties look in for a battering with 15cm likely. Looking forward to playing the snow with my children tomorrow.

    Hello all - another long term lurker who's decided to register. Had a couple of major snow showers here in Bushey today, and one just started 5 mins ago. Already a dusting on the ground. Anyone know the prognosis for this part of the world over the next 24 hours?
