I have a feeling that this will stay well south of Kendal again. Temp now 2.4c but wind picking up. Not looking good for here me thinks.

1.7c and still presently in Kendal. Fingers crossed fro later on, but not holding my breath. Thaw has taken place overnight. Good luck all.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. I wouldn't blame you. I would still buy the beers mate. I might get some peace from my son if it comes off. But I know it's very difficult to predict.

Moon is out now in Kendal. Temp 0.4C. Nothing all day and nought to come Sat, Sun and probably Mon too.Funny, we can have rain everyday, and serious flooding, but snow> No, no. Seldom seen, often dreamed. Happy for those who have though. Enjoy.

Well hopefully we in Kendal might see something today. My son is driving me mad. I have a feeling though that we will miss out completelyas it all is farther south and east.

Hello all. After a somewhat heavier 30mins of snow, all stopped now in Kendal, Temp 1.4C. A very light covering only, but enough to make everywhere look tidy. I anticipate temp to drop slightly now the band has moved through, before a rise as the next band (which will be in the main rain) arrives. This second band may well arrive earlier than forecast.

Thunder and Lightning in Kendal at the moment. Happened last night at about 10pm too.

Light snow in Kendal at the moment. Not going to amount to very much though.

Hi, absolutely nothing here so far in Kendal. We will probably miss out again. In fact, more blue sky than anything at present, must wait and see. Hope you all get some.

Hi everyone, what chance do you think for my son in Kendal by way of snow over the next couple of days please? Some people are suggesting a lot while others are hinting that the snow will miss us altogether. I will endeavour to learn a bit about how to read the various charts, but at the moment just confused. Greetings all, well a beautiful day in Kendal. Clear skies, a freshening easterly and now, with the temperature falling since mid-morning, it is rapidly clouding over from the SE. I don't anticipate any white stuff tonight, nor now in the foreseeable future. However sad I am for my son Matty, we are happy for those of you that did have lying snow. Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, our weather is a fickle beast. We don't always seem to get what those in the business say we will, but let's try and remain optimistic. WYSIWYG is my preferred weather forecasting, just after looking out of the window. Regards to all. :wacko:

Good evening all. The latest from Kendal. On and off snow showers all day, accumulations about 2cm. However the temperature seems to have risen as lying snow is now thawing. Not snowed since 17.00hrs, and trying to rain now. Oh well, Son was happy to see at least something this morning. I can't see Kendal getting anymore now tonight. Hope I am wrong. P.S. Sounds like a decent bunch of people on this forum, hope to know about you in time. Regards.
