Woah... Ok so I just heard the whistling wind noise around my house... YES!!! ... then a nice wind gust.
However it's still not really windy here in medway. I'm still hoping the wind will get stronger in the next few hours

Yea I heard that but was thinking Barney is making an impression earlier in the UK then was predicted? I have to travel to work at 20:40 tonight. I'm working the night shift. Are you telling me I'll miss the best wind gusts for my region? Typical

Did you say cats! Blimey, I have one and I can just about cope with the little minx. She doesn't like thunder and is confused by snow and hates heat. How many do you have, do they hate storms? The rain has stopped here and still no storm alarm from Argos.
Well I have three cats. One we rescued from our garden three years ago. She was a feral. I think the wind isn't getting any worse where I am?

it appears NOT to be getting any windier here. I was hoping for higher sustained winds and at least a 50 mph gust ... feeling gutted -

Nothing happening here in London, just rain, very warm though, 15.6c. The wind needs to be 30mph plus to set off my knocker and as yet I haven't heard any banging. Really? It's pretty gusty here in medway. My cats have just come in ... they're a little unsettled... sitting staring at the window as another quite strong gust passed outside.

Hi all, wind has definitely picked up in Chatham. We have horizontal rain. Feels mild though.

Hurricanes, tornadoes, even Wind storms like Barney here I absolutely love. Yes these weather events can be dangerous and cause loss of lives but I just can't help but get sooo excited this time of year.
Severe wind along with thunder storms come top on my list.
A good snow event comes a close second so I'm also keeping an eye on the weekend

Wind is stronger here now than I expected at this time.

Not sure we could get any sort of snow flurries today? Just rain here. Not heard any other reports of such thing in the southern half of the U.K.?
Still, pretty much anything is possible in this world!
Apparently there were snow flurries in Oxford today at around 13:30.
