    looks very unlikely the heavier stuff is going to get towards Preston now. heavier PPN around Chorley, Bolton etc seems to be dying away now.

    Radar showing Blackburn as having what Preston was getting around 8am this morning. The band is slowly but surely moving NE. So, looks like it should do. Fingers crossed!

    18z looking decent for the NW? Also Snow coming down quite nicely at the moment in Preston :-)

    Don't know how reliable it is, but the 12z Precipitation Type charts show some decent precip over the entire NW from approx midday onwards (from the run thats viewable so far)?
