winters have become snowless here in coventry for the last few years. i think the last time it actually snowed properly was back in 2018.
but other then a few sharp frosts this winter will go down just as bad as last as totally snowless.

such a shame for us in the central midlands looks like we will have a sleet followed by cold rain.
midlands used to be a good spot for snow over the years 1981 82 85 86 87 91 96 since then the best we have had is 2017 when 12cms fell in december. even the great 2010 cold spell here in coventry we missed out on all the fun!

so how things looking for us on thursday i wont dare look into the mad mod thread. its always the low is to far south or to far north!!
MattStoke thats alot of snow!! for all the midlands!!

Hi gang
Looks like the low next week will end up in france leaving us bone dry with cold week with frost. Better then the constant rain we have had in the last few months i suppose

Also if that low had been 80 miles further south we would of had over a foot of snow easily!!!
But cant complain had over 10cms yesterday the heaviest fall here since dec 2017 and that to in march crazy!

Incoming for coventry!!!lets hope we see more snow reports from there!!you can clearly see the cold east winds are undercuttin the precipitation and keeping it as snow from northampton northwards!!even as far south as worcester!!
Unfortunately its raining quite hard here...
But cant complain hit the magical 10cms of snow today thats the heaviest fall since dec 2017 for us. And that to being in march. Might get a few hours of snow tonight who knows

Snowing quite harshly here, a possible 5/6cm on grassy surfaces. A couple of cm on pavements, but lots of slush in school where grit has been put down.
Snowing heavy, expect another few cm by lunch.
Where are you? I've just measured 10cms in my back garden im near cv5/kenilworth

Stationary Front such a shame though. as growing up in the 80s and early 90s every winter snow seemed a given.
maybe global warming is a real thing
