Snow has just stopped here in coventry..turning to sleet/ rain and nothing has settled. Real let down here and as for 2moz and friday looks like we are to far south
-
Heavy snow in coventry for the last hour but its struggling to settle unless it gets heavier later on dont see any accumulations here sadly even tmoz looks very marginal for this part of the woods
-
Warnings updated whole of the w midlands in the yellow warning today and 2moz bit weird how no amber warning out?
-
Even the beeb have said this morning tomorrows snow is now expecting to hit n wales and north midlands...
But looked at Thursday/friday is when the whole w midlands looked to be in the firing line for a good few hours of heavy snow!

Aye, certainly seems like B'ham southwards in for a dumping, likely just flurries here
Still alot of time to change. I was sat her less then 24hrs ago getting depressed looking at the models now im stopping myself to get to excited...
Knowing our luck in coventry whole thing will be pushed north and we will have rain

Oh boy! The latest model run (12z) has shifted the band for tomorrow slightly further North. Leicester is right on the edge though. Going to be a very close run thing for my location Could even be a case of Market Harborough getting a pasting and Leicester and Loughborough with a sugar dusting! Hoping for a further 30-50 mile shift North before tomorrow. That would put Leicester in the firing line.
Its so confusing sometimes looking at each model run some have it to far south others a touch north..maybe a case of looking outside the window. Im expecting nothing here in coventry so if we do get any snowfall will be a bonus

Birmingham almost always misses out on any snow events (pretty much any interesting weather event actually) and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this time round is no exception. BBC Weather has us down for some light snow tomorrow evening, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Yeah birmingham/coventry look to be missing out at the moment totally AGAIN..oh well be nice to see some rain though after the recent drought

We can hope! In a valley here in Burton It usually splits abouve us and below us..we are too far east for anything decent from the Cheshire gap usually like earlier this winter when the snow comes it's usually dumped it all on Stoke.
Any beast from the east never seems to bring much here either although 2010 was OK.. 2018 we had a 1 snow day.
If you think you will get nothing then anything is a bonus in my book!
True 2018 was a non event here in coventry even 2010 when everyone was getting plastered we were bone dry. Dec 2017 was the best snow event here in the last 10 to 15 yrs

If the pub run is correct i will eat my hat..these lows are to far north or to far south for us in the midlands!
-
Evening gang..everyone seems to be jumping for joy in the mod thread but hows things looking for us in the midlands?
Just everyone is

Finally stopped snowing here in coventry around 3am in the morning woke up to drip drip thaw even though we had more snow than 2018 but it isn't as cold as then. Cant complain though 2 good snow events this winter with many snow falling days!

Looking at the models for tomorrow. The streamer for Leicester, Rugby, Cov and surrounding areas is STILL going by tomorrow afternoon going to be some mad totals locally. 20cm in some spots, like where @sheikhy lives.
And astonishingly its still snowing here in coventry hasn't stopped since 9am!!

I'll bloody give you a white out in a minute, Shez!! *shakes fist* in all seriousness, i'm happy for you and the other people that have been under a streamer. Shame Northampton wasn't so lucky, but it's notoriously crap for snow here, so I wasn't expecting much.
Lol sorry but after so many disappointments im so happy that we have been under constant streamers all day!
