Im not going to miss out !! Hired a load of scaffolding from speedy hire , going to the top of my hill and i reckon if i build it a good 70 metres or so , i might get a pasting . However im worried i may get carted off by the men in white coats , this may mean i miss out. The leading edge cannot be allowed to pass !!!

It has been suprising of late to see the forecasters (sky /bbc) be so far out with their predictions. Ever since 87 Michael Fish i have thought that they are overly cautious... eg showing a temp maybe a degree below what its likely to be , showing more rain / snow than is likely to happen , showing a degree or so above the highest tempsthan what actually happens. A kind of nanny state style weather forecast if you like. What about for the rest of the month?? Have we had the worst of it?? It seems that whatever happens, the day time temperatures cant seem to dip below 1 or 2 degrees with an average of 3 ish of late. I would have thought this northerly air flow would have lowered the temps a few degrees more?? At least thats what global warming enthusiasts are saying, in an attempt to explain the coldest winter for 10 years or so??

Looks like rain tomorrow and all snow gone by monday here in Swansea. Is there any way we can stop the gulf stream for january and february?? Global warming to melt more of the arctic ice, and provide more cold water into the top end of the gulf stream, effectively stopping it ... and hey presto -20 average dec / jan / feb temperatures ... the numbers wont be signifying inches but metres instead!!! Whats the general opinion here?? for tomorrow ?? 100% rain rain rain... grey sky ... misery doom and gloom?? Am addicted now ,had a few days of the white stuff ..need another hit!!!

Second that , these showers look likely to be on and off for a good few hours yet . I think as we dont get this type of system often ,its much harder for the powers that be to predict. Unlike predicting the usual atlantic systems that we always get!!! these are very rare in comparrison. Hence more suprises (like early today). Could maybe be another inch this eve. Sunday looks likely to be the day of rain , but each forecast for sunday since about tuesday has shown decreasing temperatues... Tuesday looks best bet for another heavy dumping.... Bring it on , i want to wake up and see my works vehicle (company owned) crushed under 3 metres of snow !!! (With just enough space ,so i can breath fresh air from the top window of my humble abode). Has anyone suffocated in their own homes after it being totally submersed in snow??? I know im being silly , maybe its the red wine , have a good night folks.

Really struggled down the hill this morning , fresh snow on forzen sluch , was bad but challenging. Kind of hoped it would be so bad id have to stay off work, but not bad enough sadly lol. It is a bit snobbish round here i must say. Now you say that the estate agent advertised it as Tycoch !! typical . However only renting , i do love the cold weather though and i think Swansea council should add a few hundred metres to Tycoch hill and create a mini ski resort. Being up here it would be a mini Aspen !! Whats the chances of some this evening??

Do you live up the top of the hill fellow Tycochian?? I moved to Swansea nearly 2 years ago , and live up the top of the hill in what im not sure is Sketty or Tycoch?? Its Sketty on the address but some people call it Tycoch?? Not bothered either way. Its like a separate mini climate up here at the moment from sea level in Swansea. Im nearly at the top of the hill but not quite! maybe 15 metres from the summit of mount tycoch !!

Hardly gave last nights weather a glance as i expected nothing , suprised this morning indeed to get even more snow!!! Once again it was only very slim , infact not really forecast but is it possible that a few inches is again possible?? Its -1 where i am and that radar is looking very close!! Being a newb i dont look too much into it all, just rely on all of your comments. Nothing at all lower down in Swansea , i knew i made the right decision to move to the top of the hill a few years back !!! Whats the chances of being hit again folks here in Swansea??

Cant believe it , its very fine rain here :lol: ,got 1.8 degrees and very fine rain , extremely light mind !!! Whats going on ?? radar not showing this ??? Im in Cockett SWANSEA i am . As suspected , its been hyped up!its going to end with maybe a heavy dose of sleet at best!! :lol:
