Hello all

Raining here, 4c!

Only had 2 days of snow last week, which melted by about midday on Tuesday. I think the South and Southeast need another good dumping

Any sign of anymore snow for the south ?

Snow still falling here, with it starting to settle on cars and now landing and freezing on the frozen pavements

I've got some quite big flakes coming down now, temperature has dropped quickly to -0.8c and it is snowing quite heavy snow, but the wind is preventing it to settle. The rain we had early has frozen over.

hopefully it will get heavier, i wasn't expecting this

I think the centre of the depression is due south of Brighton now. If you look at the radar on the MetO website, the 'rain' over Worthing has move back west again and a new area has appeared south of Eastbounre and appears to be moving N. Def seems to be an anticlockwise circulation centred about 30 miles south of Brighton.

Yeah, i have noticed that too, the area of ppn has moved a little bit west, with more ppn apearing in the Englsih Channel.

Did the met office predict this?!

I have some snow falling here in portsmouth, starting to get a bit heavier here, temperature 0.6c and dropping fast! B)

Devon has seem to be hit hard with no warning!

And the front has appeared to have stalled over south west england!

Temperature is starting to drop here in portsmouth, met office have us in a weather warning for snow?

I expect from Alton northwards it may be more likely to be snow falling overnight, your best chance will be for snow on the back edge of the front as it clears away tomorrow - maybe after about 3pm tomorrow you will see some.

still, would of like a good covering overnight.

Its a sign the temps are falling, the problem for your area though is that the temps higher up in the atmosphere will be a bit too high for snow to fall, you may find you get sleet, but whenever we have situations like this it is difficult to predict.

Yeah, sometimes it snows in petersfield which is in the south downs and not in portsmouth. So its can be very hard to predict like you said.

i hope the snow does reach the southcoast, but the METO radar is showing most of it over the south west.

I've already had some rain down her in pompey, but that has frozen over in the last hour.

is this a sign?

just wondering, it wasn't meant to snow in South devon, but they are experiencing heavy snow atm, with it laying. is the forcast a error by the met office?

any chance of that moving along the South coast?

TBH i idnt expect anything at all this week so it was lovely mon and tues !!!!

Im not getting my hopes up 2 much 4 2moz and it looks like the IOW hav got the least chance of seeing some!! .....but you never kno!!! :lol:

Yeah, it was lovely to wake up monday and tuesday mornings with a good covering of snow, it was a shame it melted. Yeah im expecting snow tonight anymore, but there is a good chance.

If not there are maybe some chances on Monday evening with an atlantic front moving in

According to meridian weather we r!!! also south 2day r predicting snow!!

Im not sure i think it will probably fall as rain on th IOW, U may be ok tho!!

I live ouside portsmouth, I have a light covering of snow from a heavy burst of snow. temperature is 0.7c. Anymore snow on the way?
