Hey Mullender -
What are the roads like up there?
p.s Hope u had a good ski trip....i have just come back from Austria. Went to a resort called Kappl. Awesome stuff!!!
-
still snowing up there mullender?
-
Last forecast i saw at 8.57pm on news24, indicated heaviest snow for Glos, s.e.wales, BTL and somerset for between 10 o'clock and midnight tonite, before getting slightly less cold with light rain by morn
[/quo
Hopefully higher ground wont see light rain in morn - perhaps sleet/snow?
-
just looked out of the window here in axbridge, and its snowing quite hard........didnt expect anything but rain!!!!
mullender - whats it like up there?
-
work was shut today....saying that its on the mendips, so i wasnt really surprised
just come back from sledging on the mendips near winscombe (by cheddar).....what can i say.......truly amazing....im 6ft 2 and in some places, it was nearly up to my knee. I got the sledge out of the garage which i have not used down here since i moved from the midlands....probably the best snow i have ever seen (im 27)
i should not of driven here......on the A38 i saw 5 cars abandoned on the side of the road, and three trees blown down into the road...
its stopped now...not sure if we are in for more
-
all roads up here are closed a37 cars abandoned
Jesus - im not going in then!!!!! Might did out my retro sledge!
Got anymore latest pics?
Is it still snowing, and how long do you expect it to continue?

Settling at last in Weston-Super-mare.
Massive flakes falling !
Real Heavy, Total whiteout in the space of 10 Minutes.

-
a37 is just about impassable and all other roads are impassable
if we get heavier stuff later then no chance
lets hope it continues to snow then (as long as no one gets hurt)!!!!!
-
Don't bother would be my advice! main band has not started to tract east but id say we should i hope get alot more and we have nearly 1 foot laying of snow
Great!!!!
The roads were clear this morning......what are they like now??
-
Really? Because i live in Weston.. Down the road. And we had about 45 mins of sleet, which is making it hard for the snow to settle.
<_<
it started here as sleet, and everywhere was wet.....starting to stick nicely now!!!
-
Oh my god i have never seen that before!!!
We just got a couple of flashes of lightning!! and its hammering it down, that light blue ppn is building over us.
Mullender - did you read my post before?
I work near you, and wondered what my journey may be like in the morning.....already had 3 treacherous days in my car!!!
-
already had more here than we did last night!!!!
LOVE IT
-
coming down here thick and fast......
any news on the mendips?
-
The main event isnt even here yet and i have nearly a foot of laying snow on mendips already but alot of that is from last 2 snow events but my god it could be amazing in hour or so!
ill post pics later
Good Evening Peeps!!!
Bonjour to everyone....
Mullender - are the conditions up there really that bad?
I work near you, and have struggled all week to get into work as i have to go up over cheddar gorge!!!
Tuesday was bad when i got stuck in a snow storm between green ore and cheddar gorge!!!!
Been snowing here near Cheddar at the foot of the mendips coming up to 2 hours - the surfaces were wet, but now starting to stick....
is it me or is the front slowing down? hopefully in for another few hours of snow before work time!

Hi all!
Haven't seen the forecasts all day, and can't be bothered to look through all previous posts - but what's the forecast for tonight for the mendips?
Also, what time is the ECM out?
Recently moved house and there is a lamp post right outside - may come in handy later on
