I'm feeling colder now than first thing this morning ,but I think there is a slow thaw taking place.
I think that I'll be making my excuses soon too ,dancing daisy.
I've just been outside(getting the wood in) and the snow already on the ground has frozen solid .I've managed to avoid slipping over so far but it was close. Like dogs 32, I need my routine back. A few flakes falling now, slight breeze.
temps down to -5.9 c. Another day off from school tomorrow and we could be off Monday . Although it's been fun having the snow it must be a worry to the older people who rely on home care and meals on wheels with all the ice around. Well I wish all on this forum a good night and a safe day if you have to go out and about.
temp -1.2c according to dunkeswell.A very, very slight thaw in our back garden. However heard that overnight temps could be lower than last nights in rural areas and still -7c around towns.
Yes thank you Ian for all your time and info that you give on here, especially after hectic days like today. Between now and Sunday will there be a slight thaw or are the temps going to remain around freezing? Thanks Becky.
temp-0.9.Hope the temps drop a bit more.My older children 's school is closed for tomorrow .I'm only hoping that the primary school is shut too. It's icy already out there and I'm in no hurry to drive on ice thank you very much.
been threatening with darkening skies for over an hour.BUT nowt doing .On the bbc radar there has been cloud just off of Cornwall for a llllllloooooong time .Can't decide where it's going to move to. Temp still at -1.2 gusts of wind at 32 mph NNE direction. Gald everyone is having a good day.
Still snowing ,and skies look heavy still.I think it's supposed to clear up a bit this afternoon but then freeze later on and throughout the night. I love the snow but do worry when it turns icy.I really hope the schools are shut tomorrow tbh.
bbc news weather report just said that snow will fall throughout night and linger across Devon, Somerset ,wiltshire and across to the S.E.. tHE SKY IS STILL ORANGE,JUST WISH THE CLOUDS WOULD GIVE SOME SNOW.(Sorry, caps not inteneded)
it hasn't snowed here since 9.30 and from what I' ve seen on the bbc radar I think that's it for us here in Wellington. At least we have had a covering.Althought he ere is cloud over us atm.
oooooooooo red triangles along Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire in the morning too. Temps not above 0c and a bitterly cold night tomorrow So no thawing out.Up to Saturday looks snowy too. Where in Somerset are you Dancing Daisy?
