  11. I think I am looking in the right place on the MO site but I can only find stuff for kids and teens, most of which I am reasonably OK with. The sort of thing I want to understand is 'a pretty stout cap in place an OFB from this mornings ongoing MCS ' I will take a look at the weather prediction site as well. Thanks
  12. It is years since I studied 'weather and climate' at school but the fascination has never left. Having spent the last few weeks enjoying all the information here I need to learn more so can anyone recommend any books, courses, websites where I can start as so much of the tech information here is totally beyond me and I want to understand at least some of it. Thanks in advance

  17. OK we are driving on the right now - thanks for sorting that. Sorry it all seems to have calmed down though, was looking forward to some interesting stream.
  18. Is it just me or is the stream back to front, they appear to be driving on the left! Can't quite make out the overhead signs but I think they are backwards as well.

  21. It has rained here most of the morning. currently it has stopped and is about 11C. Looks like it will start again though.
  22. Yesterday evening 2315, one huge clap of thunder followed by several weaker ones, lots of lightning, rain and strong winds.
