  1. I thought I'd better get my flights sorted now especially with getting the connecting flight from Newcastle as I'm not sure how fast that 1 would actually fill up. Does anyone know where's best to go for Travel Insurance and what is the situation with visas as I've not been to America before. Its good to know I'm on the same flight with a fellow chaser Harry.
  2. Just booked my flights with BA. 27 Apr Leave Newcastle 09:10, arrive at Heathrow 10:25 Leave Heathrow 11.40, arrive at Dallas 15:40. and coming back 08 May Leave Dallas 17:35 arrive at Heathrow 8:40 (9 May) Leave Heathrow 09:50, arrive at Newcastle 11:00. Now the countdown can begin............
  3. I must admitt Danny I'm not familiar with booking flights over the internet and I've never been over to America before!! So I had another look at the flight details today at work and it looks like the flight price I quoted yesterday is going from Manchester to DFW via Heathrow. I thought it might have been a direct flight to DFW from Manchester. Danny are the flights you've looked at travelling via Heathrow as well? Can anyone tell me if that's normal procedure for travelling to DFW from Manchester?
  4. I just checked the prices for flying out from Manchester with BA and the cost at the moment comes to £290 return!! That's not bad at all!!
  5. I'm not either!! I've got a few Scottish relatives across the border but I'm not aware of an Irish connection.
  6. Yeah I totally agree with you there cookie and I'm sure if they was a major outbreak of Tornando's the netweather website would cope. I thought on Monday night when I was following all the storm reports being added by our fellow forum members that the coverage was really good even though occasionally diffcult to keep track of (I guess that's the nature of forum's when an event like that happens) but wished I could have got involved and reported some storms of my own. "IF" a major Tornando outbreak in the UK was to happen I think the majority of people with an interest in major storms would be out there taking a few pics and gettting some video footage to share with everyone on here. The busy time would be after the event when everyone's sharing there experiences. I'm looking forward to seeing some major storms in the USA next year though on Tour 1!! And hoping for a few touchdowns as well!! (excuse the pun) Can't wait!!
  7. We had a storm today right on 12pm. It went very dark started raining mixed with a bit hail thrown in. It was a constant downpour for about an hour. Several flashes of lightening and few rumbles but nothing spectacular. 2 hours earlier they wasn't a cloud in the sky so it formed quite quickly. Gutted though it sounds like you got some major storms down the country at the moment.
  8. Spaces are going faster than I thought they would. Its definitely been a good move booking early for a tour cos I was gonna leave it until next month!! Which would have probably been a big mistake and missing out by the looks of it!
  9. I've signed up for next year and I wish I could have made it to your bbq. It would have been a great chance to meet everyone who'll be going next year.
  10. The last thing I expected him to do was open the door! What a crazy guy! Fantastic programme though with a great balance on every aspect before and after the storms. The Hurricane programme next week should be interesting with the crazy guy. Andy
  11. Sky planner's set for tomorrow night, I'll definitely be watching. Just want say well done on the 2009 chase season. Absolutely fantastic videos and pictures. I did catch some of the live footage too. This is my 1st ever post on the forum!!! Cheers Andy
