Hi all. Very quick question for you experts... I'm due to fly out of Luton at 9:25am tomorrow morning to go to Geneva with the family. I have the option of moving to a later flight that day (as it's a short break, moving back to Sunday is not really an option) or I could cut my losses now and book on a ferry and just drive it... What are your opinions on what might be the likely changes in weather/wind over the next 24 hours please? Is it at all likely that a gap will open or is this set in and there will likely be no short range european flights until early next week?

Noob question...sorry. How come the weather forecasts for the next few days are showing continuing warm temps when the GFS ensembles are showing a tight agreement for a cold plunge at 850 hpa from about the 2nd-5th May? :unsure:

Steady snowfall in south Leicester. Most surprised to see a couple of centimetres on the car & road when I opened the blind just now!

Tiny, wet flakes here again in South Leicester. More sleet than snow.

Narborough in South Leicester here. 4cm and still snowing.

Absolutely TONKING it down in South Leicester (Near J21 of M1) at present and resettling very fast indeed.

Syston - 3 miles north of Leicester. Snizzle all night, wet snow on grass & cars, nothing on roads. Sky looking like it's brightening at the moment, extremely fine rain/sleet now, hardly anything - more like mist really! What a letdown...
