Snow ALERT for the East and South East this evening-

After a day of heavy Rain,Sleet & snow has effected the SE corner of the UK - the prospects of more widespread snow especially to the South & East of London ( But not exclusively)threatens to disrupt travel once again-

Once the rather slow moving band of sleet & snow has slipped away to the South west - this being a rather slow affair ( maybe depositing another few Cm's across the downs over Sussex & possibly to low levels) we look to a very brief rest-bite before an area of SNOW associated with some strong mid level vorticity pushes westwards in from the North sea-

Areas effected for the evening look to include-

Suffolk, Essex, London,Kent-

Later tonight the risk then extends further south west again- effecting

Surrey and Sussex-

The probablilty of disruption is around 60-70% however significantly lower towards the centre of london-

ALERT Issued by S.MURR 14:40 pm
