Foul day down here. Windy and rainy. I hope it does get to the SE, not because I wish to send this foul weather to you, but because you need the rain! :(

So BBC, where's this rain we're due today? It looks to be stalling and fizzling out over the west on the radar.

Well we had a bit of cloud wind and rain this afternoon, although not enough rain to record anything or even wet the paths. Still just 7mm recorded all month and 22mm all summer.

Cooler and fresher now with a bit of brightness, 21.3ºC

STILL managed to max out at 27.1º mid afternoon under cloud cover and breeze, incredible really when it was supposed to cool down substantially here after Thursday.......still got 80ºF+, this heat just doesn't want to go away.

Hopefully tomorrow will be actually as forecast and much cooler, I'll be glad of it. Although part of me hopes we sneak 25 again to keep the consecutive days record going.

It's weird. It's rained all day today with gusty winds this afternoon. It's cleared up now but it's still humid. What is going on???? Some nasty black cloud away to my NW though.
