Welcome to the voting to select the best photo of February 2007. We're down to nine finalists - thanks to all those who voted in the first round.

So, as always, there can be only one winner :drinks:

This competition was for photos taken during February. The winning shot will form part of the 2008 netweather.tv Calendar.

Voting will end at 12 noon Monday 2nd April.

Voting on the March 2007 Photo Comp will then begin a few days later :drinks:

Voting is as simple as simply clicking in the poll for your favourite picture. These are the photos that made it through to the final round (in alphabetical order):

The competiton's getting tougher than ever! Some great pictures, apart from the first one of course.

But I have to give it to Louby. Very few people would have even thought of taking that picture like that. Me included.

But there's something vaguely familiar about it, though...

Great photos as usual.

Between Hilton, Essan, louby and Kelly f.

Essan for me this time with Louby a very close second.

I must get my wife to register. She liked Kelly f's the best.

Essan wins for me...

Could use that for an anti-smoking poster!!

Cannot believe how hard it was to choose a winner again, and after much deliberation I voted for Essan, such a beautiful shot. All the finalists were fabulous this month again though, and you are all winners with those shots.

Why has no-one else voted for Hilton? Great photo, very odd effect!

I agree A-M. It's a terrific photo - and good to see you put your money where your mouth is and obviouly gave him a vote.

But I think it is just indicative of the high overall quality of the entries in these competitions now. What might have won a year or even a few months ago now faces a much tougher time getting past the line.

Can't wait to see the calendars when they come out. But it seems a shame that so many other good pictures may not see the light of day again. Perhaps the mods could set up a gallery for each year combining all the finalists from the monthly competitions. It would be nice to look back on some of those that nearly made it as well as the ones that got the accolade. Also, when the calendars are produced, it might be worth featuring the runners-up for each month, too. That's what happened with a calendar produced by an association I belong to, and it worked well. They used the best of the "also-rans" as a collage on the back cover.

Just a thought or two...
