The Jet Stream and Us

just watched the BBC 4 about the jet stream and much of it was quite good. The two examples given about its discovery for example. I think they perhaps 'fudged' the two main jets in the northern hemisphere together for some reason; the polar and sub tropical jet are not the same and do not join up, get very close but not actually join. Otherwise quite a good programme with the inevitable link to its climatic movement and GW but that is to be expected and is correct up to a point.
