Great Langdale

[Osbourne One-Nil]

It's only 23 miles as the crow flies, but took an hour and a half to get to thanks to roadworks just before Chapel Stile which were too small for lorries to get through causing talebacks into Ambleside...didn't hear about that on Radio 5 Live.

Anyway, one night's enough for me, but it was quite a place to stay the night. It was almost worth the moderate spinal injuries I now have having spent the night on an underinflated airbed.

Blea Tarn with a mountain in the background. Think it was Pike of Stickle. I spent many hours amusing myself watching climbers fall to their deaths through my binoculars.
