The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, along

with our partners from government, business, and

social services communities, is developing a plan to

identify and address the multitude of issues that

would arise should a catastrophic event occur in the

Tampa Bay area. Hurricane Phoenix is a fictional storm created to simulate the effects of a worstâ€case scenario.The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Ruskin has designed a storm

with a track and intensity would devastate the entire Tampa Bay region. This video depicts a simulation of the hurricane's timeline and describes the issues that the Tampa Bay region would have to address should a catastrophe of this magnitude ever occur.
