Another cold night, with thick freezing fog, visibility < 50yds around dawn. Low –2.3c with –5.6c on the grass. At observation, fog lifting with clear sky visible. Thick frost. The fog cleared away from around this area, but further in to the Trent valley the fog persisted all day, and it stayed cold. The temperature here managed 7.1c, though again patchy frost lingered all day in the shade.
