First Morning in DFW After a straight Forward Flight yesterday.

Nice little MCS Rumbled through DFW Last Night so after something to eat we went South a Bit to Grand Prairie and got some Lightning practise in. Unfortunately too much time was spent looking for a decent view and we missed probably 4 or 5 multiple Cloud to Tower Strikes before getting the 1 we did. After that was too knackered and just hit the sack.

Today we might venture out into West Texas and see if anything from an Easterly Upslope in New Mexico can form and move eastwards, Large Hail and Structure would be the main threats.

It is looking increasingly likely now that we will be heading North for the coming weekend, and if the Storms dont fire the Aurora might - Lol

Couple of Pictures to get you started.

1 of the Lightning last night and 1 of the Chase Wagon!

post-24-0-74406800-1336483085_thumb.jpg - Brand New GMC Yukon with Leather Interior and Air Con Seats - Nice!

post-24-0-44483400-1336483141_thumb.jpg - 5 or 6 Tower Strikes

He will also punish you hard with a 14hr drive, arriving at 3am in the morning to leave at 6pm to catch the flight.

He breaths fire.

Redbull he drinks by the pint.

Does this man sleep?

No chance if there is lightning anywhere his nose twitches, his back throws a spasm.

And...

...his foot is to the floor on the next chase...

This man is the devil in disguise be prepared to eat miles

Oh....

And see the American Midwest, yahoooooooo.............

They don't call him the SHERMINATOR for nothing!

A few fuel saving tips from GMC

but what are rules for ?

Driving habits can affect fuel mileage. Here are some driving tips to get the best fuel economy possible.

1. Avoid fast starts and accelerate smoothly.

2. Brake gradually and avoid abrupt stops.

3. Avoid idling the engine for long periods of time.

4. When road and weather conditions are appropriate, use cruise control.

5. Always follow posted speed limits or drive slower if conditions require.

6. Keep vehicle tires properly inflated.

7. Combine several trips into a single trip.

8. Replace the vehicle's tires with the same TPC Spec number molded into the tire's sidewall near the size.

9. Follow recommended scheduled maintenance.

A few fuel saving tips from GMC

Fuel is cheaper in the US, so here are my version of the rules

Driving habits can affect fuel mileage. Here are some driving tips to get the best fuel economy possible.

1. Avoid fast starts and accelerate smoothly.

Mandatory wheel spins from the off, metal to the floor to speed up the chase

2. Brake gradually and avoid abrupt stops.

Handbrake turns to get a good angle for the moving lightning shots

3. Avoid idling the engine for long periods of time.

Keep engine running so the AC keeps the beers cool

4. When road and weather conditions are appropriate, use cruise control.

Ensure cruise control set to just under 100mph

5. Always follow posted speed limits or drive slower if conditions require.

Only when the cops are in view, otherwise drive as fast as fast speed wipers allow

6. Keep vehicle tires properly inflated.

If not, ensure it's Aarons turn to change the wheel if in a hailstorm

7. Combine several trips into a single trip.

Don't we do that anyway?

8. Replace the vehicle's tires with the same TPC Spec number molded into the tire's sidewall near the size.

And send the bill to the hire company

9. Follow recommended scheduled maintenance.

Guests to wash all windows and windscreen at every pit stop. Licking of windows allowed if you're special

Tested the Streaming out today and it looked great, can zoom in on things, also has ticker tape bars running across the top to show what we are looking at and temperatures etc

Me and dave went to Elm Street today in Downtown Dallas to the site of where JFK Was Shot, fascinating experience and it was clear who the tour guide believed.

Some Pictures of our visit today.

post-24-0-93902400-1336597270_thumb.jpg - Picture shows the Intended Route on the Right (Main Street) with the diverted route to the Left (Elm Street) and the Red Brick Building with the window where Lee Harvey Oswald was said to have shot JFK From.

post-24-0-53980300-1336597340_thumb.jpg - This is the exact point of where Shooter Number 2 shot JFK & Ultimately Killed Him with a head shot from the Grassy Knowle.

post-24-0-22403900-1336597387_thumb.jpg - Me pointing to the 6th Floor Window of the Library Building and the little "X" On the tarmac to my right is where the first shot hit JFK!

Off now to pick up the lads as they have landed.

SPC still suggesting a marginal risk of tornadoes today and tomorrow across the deep south of Texas and you might be able to play in some large hail.

Thereafter ... hopefully should be some upslope over eastern New Mexico and eastern Colorado to play with.

Streaming won't be running until tomorrow (barring the odd test as the team head out for one reason or another), but the live streaming page can be found here:

Live chat built into the player this year...

Thanks Paul, looking forward to the hours of endless fun..

One point on the webpage it says "Tour1" are we on tour One or Two, not that the viewers probably care.

(Picky, I know)
