I would not expect any lying snow below 200m ...and i doubt there will be any snow until after sunset..hopefully im being too negative.

Yes, I think lying snow on low ground is unlikely unless there are some really heavy showers ganging together. The hills should see some though.

The irish sea really has come alive this last hour....... Heading slight ENE thou so the south of the region may stay dry!

As other have said and the latest Computer Apps agree are showing even at my location @300m a mixture of rain sleet and light snow. over the next few days. Still it will be nice to see a bit of falling snow.

Agreed Geordie. I just don't get why there is such a difference at a very short timeframe.

One thing is for sure, if the hills to my east look white in the morning I will drive there like a shot! haha

And I who lives in them there hills will have a smile on my face.

Everytime the showers are wintry, happens every winter.

Wow there is an electrified sell to my west. Wasn’t expecting it to kick off this early. You can keep your empty promises of snow, i’ll have thunder any time of the year.

If you get showers after 8pm they will be snow...but dont hold me to that.

I'm not at 200m but I expect to see snow tonight and tomorrow.

I fully expect evaporative cooling to do it's super duper, failing that I'm 5 minutes from Denshaw so I'll drive up there :)

At 300m you’ll for sure at least see a light covering while probably not long lasting.

Yes mostly rain at the moment but its a good sign there is a wintry element to the showers that close to the coast :)

Heavy sleety rain, graupel and hail from that sell before, lightning died off before getting within audible range. Plenty more to come I feel.

I’m wondering if what just passed was a trough or front of some kind?
