Hello

I have booked on this tour and am really looking forward to it. Are any other NW members booked on - has anyone booked flights yet?

Who are the drivers for this tour?

I'm a driver, Ed. Will be good to see you again! I think it's Paul M and Rich on T2 as well. 

I'm booked on a one stopper via Atlanta the day before. £417 return, bargain.

Sure is. I need to book that actually. Unfortunately my arrival time has been rescheduled to 10pm which isn't the nicest.

For all you Tour 2 guests getting excited for the Upcoming Season - A selection of Pictures from the last 4 years chasing (2013-2017) Tour 2 is still primarily a Southern Plains target although it is not uncommon to head further east to follow systems or indeed some first Colorado and Wyoming chases.

 - 26th May 2013 a stunning Nebraska LP Supercell near Broken Bow.

 

 - 27th May 2015 Cyclic Supercell near the town of Canadian in the Texas Panhandle

 

 - 24th May 2016 Cyclic Supercell near Dodge City Kansas. This was an EF3 Tornado

 

 - 22nd May LP Supercell Mammatus display at Sunset near Roswell (New Mexico)

Just a month from now I'll be sipping pints in my hotel at Heathrow, hopefully this thread will liven up a little!

Longer range ensembles hinting at an active pattern from 14th May with the end of May climatologically returning the highest risk of tornadoes in the central plains. As May 24th 2016 proved you can get a career day even in a slight to enhanced set up. Get the DL and OFB position right and you can hit the jackpot.

I’ll be on tour from May 25th this year so might meet some of you on the chase.

Yeah I was similar I think. Oh well. I have a 4 hour layover at Atlanta which means I can have a leisurely dinner and a few beers while I wait!

Obviously Chick George enjoys a good chase.

We pulled up in lay bay for a fag and attracted a couple more cars of the same ilk , spooky.

Yes that is me in mid June in the snow , in shorts - an afternoon trip into the mountains.

I remember that Amarillo storm - it was a prolific lightning producer.

The longer range for T2 has improved again after taking a swing towards ridging. Some of the charts (GFS) for 23-28th May look very tasty again. I love a late May DL/WF setup with insane CAPE
