So we have the snomuda triangle where everything disappears, currently hanging between our "Mild" colleague Matt in the East, myself in the centre (+ a couple of others..."Karlos" & "Kent") and to our west our brother who quite rightly is yet to sing from the hymnbook in Wareham @Mapantz. As for Broadmayne Blizzard, thought shall not remain under our cover, along with S4Lancia, thou shall be cast out to face the severe wrath of the snowflake..

For it is written...

I bet that shower that slipped through where you were wouldn’t have done if it was snow.

My daffs have really started to come out in my trough already, going to need to cover them up I think next week. We are now locked and loaded!! It’s going to be bitter! I think probably the coldest spell we’ve had for 5 years?

I suppose that means I'll have to take the hose in to save it bursting, not done that for many years, and cover the outside tap, damn this cold weather is brutal..

Darn it! Will need to make a trip up to the garden centre to get fleece for the rhubarb and globe artichokes.

Also concerned about my Calor gas supply for the central heating. If it gets very cold it freezes and we don't get any heating! Will need to lag the pipes and regulator.

Saturday's front likely to be 95% rain, maybe sleet later then Monday night's front will be snow wherever it reaches but I've a feeling the Easterly buffers will hold it further West than currently forecast.

Oh, nearly forgot, it was the first dry day since 14th January!!!

Lol I know  in fairness though i think it was a genuine question and was worried and sceptical. Who can blame him/her. Especially with the amount of conflicting posts you get in there. Which is why I wanted to respond before an ego went off on one. I remember learning in there (still am) and it was brutal at times, all I wanted to do was learn and at times like these get some reassurance. Sent many PM’s to Nick S when we had Channel lows etc. One reason he’s probably one of the more respected members by me, he was so happy to help and explained stuff clear as day.

A few in there just want to pump chests and claim they called a cold spell. Some folk sure are odd. ?

It must be different as all the data is different on the new site to the old one.

They did mention video forecasts would be added to the new site once the new TV graphics are launched.
