A cold, dry start to the day but snow arrived by 1045 and put down another 1cm of fresh snow before the temperature rose above 0c and the snow turned wet. Wet snow continued until mid afternoon but there was no further accumulation. It became drizzly for a time before rain and sleet arrived from the west by 1700.
