A  dry but foggy start to last night. The fog thinned to mist shortly before midnight and there was a short spell of snow from around 0100 to 0130. Heavy snow for a time during the early hours gave another 2cm of fresh snow but it had turned to sleet by 0430 and gave way to moderate-heavy drizzle before dawn.

Forgot to do my report

Cloud with spots of rain at 00815, lying snow covering 85% with 2cm, I don;t think there was any snow in slight rain before dawn.

Just now my raingauge, all melted snow, is showing 14.6 mm, this is all snow that fell afterthe rain turned to snow about 0815 2 days ago.

Weather now sunny spells with a lot of cloud at times and the temperature is up to 4.2 C
