Back to clear skies and another air frost with a low of -2.5 C, this is the 11 th air frost, iuprecedented for April, impressive for any winter month for this station.

A dry and clear night and a clear and sunny start to the day. Just missed an air frost here but another sharp frost on the grass; the 18th this month which equals the April record set in 2013.

There were 11 air frosts recorded in April in Sheffield 1917 but yes certainly impressive

Even down here in the south we're not far behind you - our nearest official station at Reading University has recorded 10 air frosts, with another likely tonight.
