European daily temperature datasets going back to the 18th century?

Hi,

I am doing some personal research on European winters going back as long as I can and trying to quantify how severe they were / compare the greatest 20th century winters to those of past centuries.

I've seen extensive proof that daily temperatures series exist for many European cities going back at least since the late 1700s... But I haven't found many of them.

For eg in this study I was reading they talk of daily temp series for Warsaw, Vilnius, St Petersburg, Krakow etc... but no signs of how to get them online, or even of the studies mentioned for example...

I have found the CET of course, as well as Stockholm, Prague, Milan and Hohenpeissenberg on ECA&D... But hoping to get a few more...

Any ideas?

Note that if I need to purchase them that is fine, but haven't found any contacts to do this (eg do I need to go to the relevant national weather services for example?)

Thanks in advance
