Extensive high cloud overnight and this morning, bright spells developing. Hazy sunny spells developing late morning, these continuing through the afternoon.

Well the cloud broke this morning so now sunshine with bits of cloud around, nice change but the breeze seems to be getting up. mind you the Davis show 0 mph, suspect I need to go have a look what is causing that.

Cloud cleared sadly can't enjoy the sunshine as Sheffield is very smokey at the moment. Did see a lot of black smoke eaier to the NW none gone from view.  Normally the issue is with the wood burners that people are now usingf.

Varying amounts of high and medium level cloud overnight. Hazy sunny spells developing this morning. The early afternoon saw medium level cloud increase further making the sun very hazy and weak, though still feeling pleasantly warm.

Cloudy at dawn but some gaps now allowing the sun to appear now and then, dry overnight judging by road/path surfaces, certainly nothing in the Davis, very warm the low was 16.7 C some 3 C higher than the usual day max; also a bit breezy.

Spiders webs stopped my anemometer cups from working but cleared them yesterday!

Just looked at my link to my old ski area +16C at 8000FT and walkers in shorts and sweat shirts! Mind you some snow 'guns' already been positioned. No idea why; I've never seen them out before end October before.
