TUE: Wet, Wet, Wet!

ECML-Route-Weather Watch

Welcome to my Blog, bringing you my weather observations through North East Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and into the City of York during my daily commute from Melton Mowbray, by car and train.

Tuesday 15th January 2008:

Wet, Wet, Wet!

Constant moderate to heavy rain throughout the commute this morning, the only difference being a fresh breeze blowing across Melton Mowbray. The fields look completely saturated and the flood plain for the river Wharf at Ryther is still full. If the rain keeps falling York could face some flooding on the riverside in the next day or so, it usually takes between 24 and 48 hours for any rain in the Pennines to make its way downstream.

Tomorrow; Becoming cooler with a touch of frost, will the car need de-icing in the morning?
