  1. I may just ask this because we seem to have avoided everything so far this year. Will Lincoln get some thunder today? Everything seemed to miss here yesterday. At the moment it is rather cold and cloudy. Can only see stratus clouds.
  2. There has not been a single overhead thunderstorm in Lincoln yet this year. We have hardly had our fair share at all here anyway.
  3. Well I am gutted. One "forecast not realised" too many for my city. GUTTED. <_<
  4. We have avoided all storms and heavy rain today, I am still very much a member of the club I think for this summer. Boring pointless day. I give up now.
  5. No. Absolutely nothing here at all. Not even any rain. Still no actual thunderstorms here this year. I may be the first to say I am positive that the netweather lightning over lay is totally wrong. If there had been that many lightning strikes around my area I would have known about it! Showers weakening past here and then they reintensify after leaving.
  6. Every single storm in the Lincolnshire area has totally missed Lincoln. No rain at all either.
  7. Unbelievable, netweather radar shows storms and rain on top of me but nothing at all here, not even any rain. This is the worst let down EVER.
  8. Nothing here, as usual. I thought today might be a good chance for our first thunderstorm of the year (and not more weak thundery showers). Haven't had any thunder yet today.
  9. Estofex are useless recently. On the June 15th thunderstorm outbreak they did not even give a risk of storms box for the UK at all. They put a level 1 over eastern England on 3rd July and as we all know that was a damp squib. Good instability over the UK for monday and tuesday but oh guess what Estofex will probably not circle the UK again
  10. 24c in Lincoln, shame it will all end tommrow.
  11. These delightful GFS updates remind of two words: "Hello October".
  12. Could be higher than actual **Incomplete (28 days worth of data) *** Estimate After just two warm days an notable cold and unsettled period set in, with the 7th in particular having terrible weather; persistent and heavy rain in the day with a temperature of just 8.6c at 3pm. Cool and changeable continued for the next few days. A return to average or above average temperatures by 12th, followed by a day of heavy showers, rain and storms on 15th. Very easterly mostly settled second half. A warmish spell at the end of the month. The month yet again saw below average sunshine. Overall the temperature was slightly above average. Pretty poor for thunder with no direct thunderstorms just a couple of rumbles each time.
  13. Alas no thunder here... again. Seems there hasn't been a thunderstorm here forever.
  14. And the lastest GFS charts for us give the biggest downgrade yet, with fair confidence I think I can say "No Thunderstorms Tomorrow". What a shame. The last time we had a "thunderstorm" (rather than couple of rumbles in a shower) here was June 15th 2007.
  15. I do hope nobody is getting their hopes up about tomorrow. Once it was forecast 1500j/kg CAPE and LI of -5 now it has nearly totally disappeared. Be lucky to get some feeble showers.
  16. We have had 3 days reach 27c in Lincoln, I would not call it a heatwave for Lincolnshire. The 30c was unofficial with my own sensor.
  17. 25.0c at Waddington (Lincoln) 12:00. Down on the previous two days at 12:00. Expected to go up to 24c. I think we might have passed that.
  18. 30.0c in Lincoln....according to my outdoor sensor, but that is much above the Waddington reporting 3 miles away. LOL.
  19. My outdoor thermometer saying 28.2c. Buxton Derbyshire is reporting 30c http://www.buxtonweather.fsnet.co.uk/ Is this to be believed? It is after all over 1000ft above sea level?
  20. Got down to a comfortable 15.3c in Lincoln. Now a cloudy day so temperatures may not see the likes of yesterday.
  21. 16c with haze Dewpoint 15c. I hope the humidity drops only because otherwise we can get annoying fog that delays the rise in the morning. Still seems clear enough, so some hope then!
  22. It reached 27.8c in Lincoln today. The hottest since 5th August 2007 (28.7c). I wonder what today 1st July can do? 29c perhaps?
