  1. Had a high of 29.1C today with a feel like tem0 of 31C, a max of 28C the last 2 days. Suppose to be a very mild night tonight with lows of 18-20C.
  2. Recorded a high of 28.8C in the garden today, was not pleasant as I was at a family funeral today and too hot in a suit. I wouldn't be surprised to get ocer 29C here locally tomorrow as its suppose to be a degree or so hotter.
  3. Well I must admit, im a little bored with the weather atm. Whilst I enjoy these temperatures as opposed to it being 25c+, I would quite like a good storm, having missed out so far this year and it being a few years since seeing a proper storm. I also recently have been wanting a good wind storm, which we haven't had in a long time. I do hope this Autumn we get 1 or 2 good ones!
  4. Well its been a very wet day for sure, had a total of 44.9mm so far today, bringing the weeks total to 71.3mm.
  5. Been a wet day today, 33.8mm of rain and rising. Been very calm though with very little if any wind.
  6. I've had storms going to my east and west by probably 5 miles all day and I've been stuck in a bubble between them. The Barry storm shield is in full effect today!
  7. This is day 3 of breaching 28C in my sheltered street, current max today 28.3C, temp 27.8C but will likely rise again to peak around 5pm, been around 1-2c warmer every day than predicted. I will say its been lovely to have the nice weather and temps in high 20s for a few days, now I have a way of escaping in the house to cooler air for a break. Would have been better had I not been in work melting and been out down the coast enjoying it
  8. We had a high of 28C today, currently 27.3C. I've noticed they have upped tomorrow's temperature to 27C again when it was saying 25C yesterday. I do hope for some rain over the weekend, either via storms (my preferred option, or just showers) my poor clay garden is solid and the plants are not very happy about it.
  9. With temps back up to 27c today I got up at 5am to open the doors and windows to let the cooler air in, after a low of 16C last night. With the A/C on since I closed them managed to keep the longe hovering around 20C, the back of the house and upstairs 23C which I'm quite happy with.
  10. Just reached 29C here, was forecast a high of 27C, boiling but lovely clear skies, just a shame we don't have the conditions today to brew some storms now we have the heat here.
  11. Beautiful sunny day with clear skies, hot too. Max temp today 29C Current temp 29C Dewpoint 14.6C Humidity 42% Rainfall 0.0mm Max gust 12.5mph Wind 0.9-2mph UV index 5 Solar 73.43KLux Pressure 1009.5hpa
  12. Delonghi em90 portable air conditioner, its good and certainly makes a big difference in the lounge - be warned though it is very loud!
  13. Currently 26C upstairs, feels quite uncomfortable up there but with the aircon on in the lounge, a more plesant 22.2C and dropping. Might move the air conditioner up to the bedroom tonight if it doesn't cool down enough outside to let the heat out.
  14. 23.5C here already, I think 27-28C possible today here, will be our warmest day of the year. Will look forward to some slightly cooler weather come the weekend/next week!
  15. Shame we seem to have missed the storms this time round, winds just the wrong direction and suppose not enough land heating going on over the SW to produce any to being to us. Hopefully next time round it will fall right for us (and on my days off! ). Looks like a hot few days this week now (im prepared with my new air con) and then possibly becoming more unsettled next week when I have a week off, typical lol.
  16. I can see the anvil from the Bristol storm passing up into SE Wales from where im working in Cowbridge, I must be some 40miles away, pretty cool. Shame winds aren't more easterly to blow it this way lol.
  17. Warm and humid thismorning, some sun poking through the cloud. I remain hopeful of seeing something today but thinking that possibly not as storms would have to break out over SW England and come across the Bristol Channel, which I haven't seen a lot of forecast showing as most of it forms over the rest of England where its warmer. Still, remain hopeful for a Surprise or two!
  18. I think tomorrow/Monday will be better for us, in the South, can't see much happening down here today but if the clouds can build and break the cap soon the I'd think Mid/North Wales could see a few decent storms! I do hope we get some though, really want a good thunderstorm that I can go down Barry island and watch, as I have no views in my little ditch lol. I've just ordered myself a portable A/C unit, decided im not suffering in any heat and humidy this year like I have the last few years .
  19. Well it was predicted to be 25-26C today but thats gone down to 22-23C for the weekend now, also not looking so likely we will get the storms due to the lower temperatures and more cloud cover. I will say though im glad about the temps being more comfortable for the weekend! Could do with some rain though for the poor garden.
  20. Had a high of 25.1C, still 23.5C and humidity definately on the rise, currently 54%. I do hope we manage to see a storm tomorrow before I have to go to work at 18:30 or after 12pm Sunday when I finish work, so I can be home to enjoy it!
  21. Mix of sun and hazy cloud today. Started off cool with a chilly brisk breeze, ended very warm and now humid. Max Temp 25.1C Current Temp 23.6C DP 16.2C Hunidity 53% Wind ESE 2-8mph Max Gust 22.8mph Pressure 1007.3hpa
  22. Turned into a rather cloudy day despite forecast saying it would be sunny. Still warm though, 24C in Barry and starting to feel a bit more humid.
  23. Lovely day, warm, clear skies and gentle breeze. Temp 20.2C DP 8.9C Humidity 47% Wind E 1.3mph Pressure 1020.9hpa UV index 6 Solar 84.20Klux
  24. Just seen BBC weather show temps for Cardiff could get up to 25C end of the week, meto forecast not showing that atm just low 20s. Still I am enjoying this weather, just wish the bugs and insects would stop colliding with my windscreen when driving, seems to be so many this year! I do hope we don't get too much if a prolonged dry spell, my garden is clay and goes so hard my plants and young trees struggle.
  25. Currently 20.7C after a high of 21.6C back home in Barry. Been similar temperatures in Sheffield where ive been for the weekend, perfect weather!
