gone very light a moment with a light dusting, almost stopped, but the clouds look like they have a fair bit in them, hope we get proper big flakes at somepoint!

I just had look at the Netweather Radar and it doesnt look like it will get to this area in the next couple of hours,perhaps 1hr 30mins for Bridgend.

if that keeps going in that direction, and don't die out to much, i might just get some, im actually quite hopeful now even if i shouldn't be

You should see a shower a couple of hrs,how much who knows pure luck or badluck.
Awsome, im not too bothered on how much at the moment, i just want a nice covering of some sort as haven't had one of proper snow yet this winter. Hope to do some lampost watching lol

Now the sun is covered by a cloud i can see that they are actually moveing from north/north west to south. Hope for some showers in there somewhere! there seems to be quite a bit coming to the west of wales, any chance they will make it to the south around my area?

Quite a bit of cloud to my north/northwest now, its hard to tell but i think the clouds are moving more west to east so might miss me, but i might get lucky, some clouds look like that in the pic by Avain in snowmadsam's post above!

Looking at BBC Forecast the NW Winds will bring showers off Irish Sea into Wales this Evening. Quite a few on the map for west and reaching the South too. Further west, better the chance of one of these showers.
Is your thermometer in direct sunlight?
You'll find you get temps shooting up around sunrise and dipping once the sun is higher in the sky.
Yeah kinda, its got a case thing around it with the air gaps, but i think the sun does warm it a bit! it now says 6.8c, went up to 7.6C earlier. Nothing i can do about it unfortunatlly because if i put it in a shaded area, then i dont get proper wind reading. Not sure what i can do really.

Lol the weather station is on the top of the washing line at the bottom of the garden, the only place i could put it to get any proper readings. I just been out back and it doesn't seem overly cold, esp in the sun. Could it possibly be to do with me being in abuilt up area etc, so it stays warmer than areas around us? i just can't think of any other reason as it doesn't seem to be falty atall.

Looking at NAE, wintry (snow) showers, most likely this evening and into tomorrow morning.
While NMM goes for a band pushing south (hitting South Wales) around 9pm tonight, with more general showers, this evening.
Well fingers crossed we will finally get some snow cover on the ground at some point in the next 24 hours!

Looks like we could see some showers later and overnight, hopfully of snow! Temps shot up thismorning, reached 6.5C at 10:45am, now gone back down to 5.3c and seems to be falling slowly. Fingers crossed for those showers. Is there any chance of seeing anything tomorrow night? or tuesday? as netweather seems to give us snowshowers tonight/tomoz morning, tomoz night/sunday morning, monday and tuesday. I hope to see something in the next few days then if they are right! wind seems to be coming from the W/NW.

Had a low overnight of -1.8C, not all that cold compared to others. Temp now rising at 0.4C. Maybe a chance of the odd shower later thisevening? also both metcheck and net weather show a chance of some light snow overnight saturday into sunday in the forecast for my area! I will be surpised if it does!

Temperture abslotely plummiting now. -2.1c here already droping at a rate of 2.4c an hour. Max temperture 2.1c cant see it getting above 0c for a while up here.
Bit cold there already isn't it? lol. Temp now 2.7C and falling, alot of cloud around. Happy New Year everyone, hope for the best in 2010, esp weather wise

Just looked at metcheck weather reports and someone from Anglesey said on/off snow there. Wish it was like that here, mixture of sun and alot of cloud, temp today reached a max so far of 4.2c, now 3.9C and dewpoint falling at 1.1C. Next few days look like being cold and frosty then with little chance of snow showers.
Correction, sun is out and its now a balmy 5.7C

After tonight and the next 10 days you be wishing for warmer weather lol.
Lol maybe, darkish cloud overhead now, looks almost like it wants to give something, but not sure it will!

I am not to happy with the sun at the moment, temp is now up at 3.8C, i was hoping today would be a bit colder than that! maybe the proper cold air hasn't quite got here yet. Anyway more cloud coming over now so hope that will lower temps, and im sure a few mins ago i saw the odd flake blowing in the wind, could of been something else though!
