Temp now up at 3.8C with what looks like sleet falling now, hope it turns to snow soon although with these temps no chance really, hope the temps fall soon so it can turn to snow!

Temp now seems steady at 3.5C, hope when the front comes it will cool down fairly quick and turn to snow fairly quick, anyone got any idea roughly when the front will get here?

Im kinda worried, as temps have been increasing, its now 3.3C and dewpoint at 3.2C, ground is damp so not sure if there was a light rain shower earlier as haven't long got back from watching Avatar - amazing by the way. But i have a bad feeling its gunna start of as rain or sleet, and the ground will become too wet so if it does turn to snow it won't stick

We have ihr heavy sleet snow the front isent petering out just fast moving.Theres strong winds and hopefully heavy showers tucked in behind.

still not happy about the temp here 3.4C dewpoint still 2.5C, spits and spots of rain falling at the moment would be good if it snowed but with those temps i dont think it will, atleast not untill they drop further. -
We have cloud over us now, and temp is slowly dropping now down to 3.6C, but dewpoint is at 2.6C, really hope they drop soon, once the sun goes then the temp should drop faster. I just saw someone on metcheck say it looks like the snow band is petering out as it heads south.
Does anyone here know if this is happening?

Well a mixture of sun and cloud. no showers yet, not so happy that its gotten this warm now the sun has come out, temp now at 5.1C and dewpoint at 1.6C, just really hope it cools down soon! Im starting to doubt if we will get much snow here tonight, but then again i always doubt if we will get snow! Also not so happy that the net weather forecast has it starting as snow, but turning to rain here later in the night
Still hoping for atleast some sort of covering tonight.

Hey another Bridgend snow nut :-) I am hoping we will see something this weekend. What do you think are chances are?
well im no expert, but i think we have a fair chance, as we normally get something, can see cloud to my west slowly coming in, although temp is now 2.7c it should fall hopfully when the cloud covers the sun! We shoud atleast get some sort of covering tonight!

Nice to hear a few places have some snow already. I am hoping Bridgend will recieve some snow this weekend. Looking at the forecasts I am sceptical, but be nice to see.

Just had some light snow here in bridgend, only lasting a few seconds as it was from the edge of a shower, hope to get more snow tonight!

Well can't tell if there are coulds around us as its too dark, but i can see stars so hope it comes soon!

Ohhh yea and just looked at some reports on metcheck, and someone in north cardiff is reporting heavy snow, would be nice if it comes over here!!

Was suprised earlier today around 3pm-ish to have a light snow shower, hope to get some more tonight maybe?!!

Im am now doubting if we will get any snow atall from this cold spell! Maybe I will have to wait till a bit later on in winter, we only normally get snow around Feb here in recent years, so maybe that is my best chance!

saturday night looks our best bet,with a cold front moving south could produce a fewcms, with a cold north by north west wind tucking in behind the front,with sleet or snow showers behind the front.Even monday 21st we could still get wintry showers.
I shall look foward to saturday night then! fingers crossed we will get some snow then!

Well im hoping to get some snow here in Bridgend, but im not sure if we will, would be be to low down at 72meters and too far south to get any snow?

Its feeling warm here in Bridgend today at 20.3c, hazy sunshine with thicker cloud around in places and a light WSW breeze. Max temp today 22.8c.

Today its been rather wet, had some heavy rain thismorning and light drizzly rain untill now when its just stopped. There is a very light breeze and it feel fairly mild at 18.8c. sorry to go slightly off topic but i will say this August seems rather cool compared to last few years, and i know its only the start of the month, but we haven't gone above 19c, which i recorded today @ 12:07pm, and went down to 10c on the 2nd which is the coldest this summer, hope to get some slightly warmer weather this month!!

NOT HAPPY lol ground is soaked from this sleet with puddles
so even if it did snow, no real chance of it sticking now anyway unless it was really heavy, and seeming this is Bridgend, that wont happen
