Sunny. Min temp was 0C.

Moderate to heavy rain this afternoon. A little hail mixed in at times I think. Blustery showers this evening/morning, wind from the NE about 7C. God it's depressing - not looking forward to Winter one bit. Just took my frustration out on my collection of rare breed Dartmoor ponies with a a red hot poker. Melted one of them down to traditional furniture glue just to cheer me up.

Still refusing to put my heating on, despite it being only 7C out there atm. Quite comfortable sat here with my jumper on.
Though will have to eventually put it on, probably when the first air frosts come to stop it getting damp inside.
That is the limitation with extra clothing - it doesn't keep the place dry.

Windy this afternoon. I see there was a 60mph gust at Aberporth earlier Meto

It's like the blind leading the blind in here...
Does anyone else read the thread title as being 'The Hard On Collider' and thinking back to the movie they saw three weeks ago? Thought not...
Was it Three and a half weeks? Where they broke every rule?

If the sun turned into a black hole tomorrow (which couldn't happen, because it isn't massive enough), other than it going dark and freezing to death, we wouldn't notice gravity wise. Earth's orbit wouldn't change at all. We wouldn't suddenly spiral into stretchy oblivion - apparently.

Cool. Never meant it to sound like it wasn't your photo's. Did you call in for a virtual pint in Dawlish

Some very tidy shots there. Is that all your own work, or did you use a camera?

I've never seen that. Can anyone explain what the physical process is there. Why has the air done that?
Edit: Localised heat from below?

I thought this might be of interest - and it explains why Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Rutland don't get as much interest as the south-east of England does, maybe.

Another stunning day (yesterday) here in West Wales - sun, sun, sun. It looks as though perhaps the MJO has gone into phaze 11 around here?

Rumble of thunder just then. Some showers passing through now and again.
PS. Lewis - it's probably not a good idea to climb on your roof in the middle of the night!
