  1. just read the last feew pages on this forum and can not believe the ignorance of one or two particular people on here. If we get told that we 'might' see some snow/rain or sleet today do they honestltly think that everyone would just stay at home and let the country come to a standstill???

Of course if we did that then the posts would be that we cant handle driving in snow!!!!

being a forner Royal Marine who has spent many a winter in Norway, getting out of your vehicle and making your way on foot is not the most sensible thing to do unless your close enough to a safe warm place.

my thoughts are with those who are not home yet. Enough said

  2. Okay just looked outside and it is really coming down now....earlier on Luton, St Albans and High Wycombe all getting snow and we had clear skies but we waited and now it seems to have got here. We seemed o be just missing ir here in Leighton Buzzard. does anyone know if we have more to come? Need to know if kids are going to school tmz?? It is stil very windy here but we havent had the thunder/lightening other places have had.

  6. T o the person worried about their nan, there's no harm in getting her some powdered milk and cans of soup ready just in case she can't get out, also checking she has warm clothing and torch in case eletric goes out that kind of thing.

While we don't go mad if a snowstorm is forecast we always have stocks of cans of soup and powdered milk, and dry crackers as a bread substitute.

Lol soup, dry crackers and powedered milk.......reminds me of artic warfare exercises in norway with the royal marines..... blink.gif
