a small feature cropping up around 5-6pm around the south coast that might provide another layer of snizzle for some.

Cold and frosty but no snow in Winchester, maybe some snizzle last night but that's about it. As cold spells go, it has been very cold, but without the snow (that many have got) at the moment it feels like nothing out of the norm. However, it should not be forgotten that we are only in the 2nd week of winter so on a positive slant it has been a better start than the last couple of years! Hopefully some white stuff for my neck of the woods down the line.

Snow to the east snow to the west, stuck in no man’s land with not even a snizzle. Lovely photo from my parents in central London, hammering down currently!

Feeling a bit more hopeful for Monday, although don't think we will get under the heavy stuff I'm more confident that we will actually see something fall from the sky! enjoying the cold crisp mornings but it is a bit like a warm summers day without the sun!

So are there signs of a Thames streamer overnight or is this going down as the one of the worst easterly events for SW London in history?
Agreed it’s been awful for us. So close yet so far!

My paving slab is now completely snow free, been snowing off and on all day but just has not amounted to anything, grass almost completely clear now. Not in my top 5 cold events but I suppose there is still time left......
-
Heavy snow but actually melting what was already there (which wasn't a lot).....

More constant snow this morning, slab is nearly 70% covered now, just need a bit more intensity!
-
Much heavier now, slab still struggling to get covered though......this all bodes well for this evening where I have high hopes.

Proper flakes in TW13, which is lovely to see
-
Slightly bigger than snizzle now, this is positive, could be a World Record for the longest time to cover a paving slab with snow, been going for around 27hrs now. Slab has 1mm covering a third of it I would say.

Reasonable amount of snizzle here in West London, the slightest of coverings (if you look hard enough) , at least it looks nice.

Felt bitterly cold this morning, snizzle still on ground but still waiting for first proper flakes. Slim (very) for later on today......
