    Hi, I'm on the Herts/ Essex boarder, we had a frost this morning (only very light). Freezing fog and very very lightly snowing here also. Current -3.5! Not much chance it will raise to above freezing today. Anyone think there is a chance of snow as the wet windy weather from the west meets our frozen south east! Magicbat

    Guys, when do we think the snow will hit our area? Its forecasted to arrive at 6am - but the ppn is moving quick - maybe sooner. What do you think?

    All, This night could be fun for people in our area. More heavy rain heading our way - and its not breaking up! Another day and more heavy showers! Checked the charts - Saturday follows the pattern, Sunday is dry and then back to more showers! My local rivers are very high, anyone else in our area noticed rivers starting to edge to the top?     Extreme rain burst and hail since 12pm today in South/East Essex and Herts boarder. And we had a large thunder boom around 6:30pm! Looks like more heavy showers forming and heading up from sussex through London. Could get some more heavy rain showers - worth a monitor over the next hour. MagicBat

    I have checked the radar and looks like the most persistent / heavy snow will be in the north of our region. Do you think essex and herts will miss out on the biggest snow falls? Thanks, Magic Bat

    Hi, temps here (essex, herts boarder) have risen to 1.6c. Should we be worried - if it keep's rising it could be sleet arriving not snow. This morning temps were -7.5 thats a rise of 9.1c just in the last 8hrs. I hope not we need some snow in our area this winter. Maybe someone can put my mind at rest. Still okay for snow?     Hi, I'm not surprised to see the snow amounts for our area and the general SE area of the UK being upgraded. The front seems to be slowing - now moving around 25mph. Clearly the forecaster are seeing it stalling more as it approaches of area. The high pressure from the east is pushing back against the west flow from the Atlantic. This will make it stall or move slow over our area. MagicBat

    Evening All, I have been reading the post on the website for a few days now and it seems very intresting times are ahead. On the Herts, Essex boarder it currently 4.5c (a rise of 0.5c in the last hour). When do we think the snow will turn up toinght/tomorrow in our area? Do you think the temp's (air, etc...) will be to high for snow in our area? Intrested in your thoughts? MagicBat

    Blizzards, I agree, the bbc are now going for snow in the far south east (kent) and nothing but rain in our area. Are the models going for a downgrade? To warm for snow? Could someone explain? Have the tables turned?

    Hi, I watched the BBC weather forecast about 30mins ago and they believe the snow coming down from Scotland will head out into the North Sea (moving quickly east) missing our area (south East). Are they correct? I think its heading due South and will hit out area in four/five hours..... What do we think? Do we have a chance tonight? (I hope so) Thanks, Magic Bat

    Hi Andy H, I think its moving mainly east and heading in land towards north London. How far in land? Its hard to call at the current time. Give it an hour or two and the met office may upgrade there warnings.

    Evening All, Getting worried that outside temps are still going up.... Now at 0.8c. I was expecting to see temps dropping as the snow/ clouds have cleared north. At the current temps do you think we get snow? Do you expect temps to drop later to aid the snow fall later? Also do you know when the snow is due to return in our area (south Essex, Hertfordshire boarder) Thanks, Magic Bat

    Thanks NeilSouth. 1-2cm would be a great start for us in the South East. Temps are on the rise here.... Its gone from -1.6c to -1.1c in the last 45mins. Is this high level cloud? Or approaching snow? Thanks, MagicBat

    Great forecast by Peter on BBC London. It looks like we will have snow showers first thing tomorrow morning. Lets hope the frost tonight and cold wind tomorrow afternoon keep temps low enough to keep the snow falling. How much are we expecting tomorrow morning? Any ideas guys? Magic Bat

    Current Weather Temp: Dropping like a stone! We have seen a steady drop off at around 1c every 45mins. Its now 1.8c and falling..... Prediction = at this rate it will be below 0c before 12am. The frost it coming our way! Magic Bat
