  1. Heavy rain earlier this morning has given way to sunshine and showers, with sunny spells very brief - most of the sky filled with Cb now with short and sharp bursts of rain now and then. Temp: 15C Wind speed: 14 mph from W RH:74% Pressure: 1008, rising
  2. After a glorious sunny start with a bit of high cloud, classic 'cauliflower' clouds with dark bases bubbling up and begining to fill the sky. Temp: 16C Wind: 15mph from W RH: 78% Pressure: 1011 mb
  3. Very stormy here at the moment, overcast all morning with frequent heavy bursts of rain accompanied by squally gale force winds. Electricity went off breifly, so had to re-start computer :-x - perhaps to do with the amount of small branches being blasted off the trees out there. Current temp: 15C Pressure: 993 mb RH: 86%
  4. Currently in S Kent: Broken cloud with sunny spells. Temp 14.8C RH 92% Pressure 1030mb Wind: Gentle from the N Make the most of it before this drizzle sets in this evening
  5. Currently 15C here in S Kent, with a moderate NNW wind. Clear skies earlier, now broken cloud has moved in with some brief sunny intervals. RH: 90%, Pressure: 1022 and rising.
  6. A grey and wet start to June today in Kent :-x . Heavy rain earlier this morning superceeded by a light drizzle for the rest of the day. Temperature reached 17C earlier this afternoon, temperature is now 15C with a leaden grey sky. Wind from east this morning now from NNW. Hoping for some sun tomorrow
  7. A line of heavy showers just moved through the area, now brightening to the west - feeling more humid after the rain fell. Wind is WNW picking up before the showers, now gone still. Temperature 19C. There's a distinctive smell of wet tarmac in the air, hmmm - one of the smells of summer rains.
  8. I'd say a chance of thunder over London and the South-East this afternoon, though probably less chance further west towards Wiltshire and the West country.
  9. Had a storm around 3.40 with a few load cracks of thunder, the first flash gave a power cut for around 20 seconds. The storm was accompanied by an intense hail burst for around 2 minutes. The storm was followed by great 'mamma' cloud formations at the back edge of the Cm. Been quiet since with a few lightish showers (no thunder heard) with some long sunny spells.
  10. Writtle, Essex: Just had a flash of lightning and tremendous crack of thunder at the same time making the lights (and the computer :-o ) go off briefly, followed by an intense burst of hail. The road outside has almost turned into a river what with the heavy rain this morning and frequent showers this afternoon. Looking foward to some heavy showers/storms this week .
