Email is probably best. Why?
It wouldn't be "saying" them to your mother, it would be typing/writing them, which is different.....

So I'm guessing that BFTE stands for dog biscuits From The Express?
(pretty sure the netweather rude word replacing algorithm is going to make a nonsense of this)
Was it a female dog or mens dangly bits?

Has the Daily Express headlined the BFTE - actually getting it right for the first time amongst three years of garbage? I bet @Jo Farrowhas been keeping score?
I fully expect them to start saying stuff like Arctic temperatures and Snow set to last until Easter, around about this point?

I would say Imagine the Daily Express headlines! But then I thought - oh wait, they don't need actual facts to backup the (weather) headlines they write.....

The BBC app is showing temps at 4 to 6deg.C over the same timeframe, which is patent nonsense.
Over the last 7 days, the BBC forecasts have taught some of us.... not to pay any attention to them. Especially the video forecasts - according to the video forecasts, the Borders should have had lots of heavy snow - pretty much everyday.

Apart from some still frozen ground in the garden, all the snow has gone.
I'm not going to get excited about the warnings for my area until we get closer, because I won't be terribly surprised if I wake up to torrential rain and 16C temperatures tomorrow the way things are going....
Anyway here is yesterdays timelapse.....

There are cms of slush on all the pavements. Not white, pavement coloured. it's horrible stuff to walk through and it's very very slippy.
I'm actually quite annoyed that it's basically been snowing for like 3 days here, and hen those other days when it was snowing too. If they had all actually been snow, rather than this stuff - we would have multiple feet of snow by now.

I'm hovering between 1.3 and 1.4, so I suspect your sensor is correct. Perhaps the Airport sensor is being affected by concrete/tarmac?

On the dog walk in shorts... Bit of a mistake no idea of temp but feels v chilly and despite thin layer of cloud the remaining snow crispy again.
Shorts? In Scotland? Has there been some point between 24th December and now where the temperature has been warm enough for shorts, that I have perhaps slept through? ❄❄

Oh no! I don't think screen wash copes terribly well with solids. People better be careful on the roads! (Also I would advise against people standing with their mouth open and tongue out.....)

1.3c here. Not sure why I think that makes a difference though as it lashed with rain the other day at 0.9c
Yeah... we've had rain at 0 before, and snow at 2.5C. I'm just being hopeful (I know it's a fool's errand, but I can't help it)

Well, having risen to 2.4C for no obvious reason, we've now dropped back down to 1.4C, so we will see....

OK so the GFS 12z have the temp a little higher at 2c by midnight - garden says 2.1c now so still dropping. Sadly accompanied by some awful drizzly pish!
Ours was dropping, but has gone up again by nearly a degree in the last hour.

Oh by the way, I don't know anything about the SEPA issue - but they sent me a Flood Alert text at 9am. So perhaps their systems are now available again?
