    So... whats the outlook for today? any snow for the north west anyone? i mean lancashire area, manchester look to get some, but for preston, the snow first must pass through newcastle

    well yeah thats very likely,some of the buildings down here will built on the cheap when it comes to insulation. Not expecting much in terms of showers looking at the radar, possibly a flurry in the afternoon

    I know, when it snows in the north east or midlands there is very little reporting, but when its in east anglia its all over the news! I've seen the pictures on the news, and the roads are covered by a whole mm of snow! How do they live in those treacherous conditions

    Yeah but the sun shouldnt melt when the air is below 0? i think im wrong actually :S according to net weathers forecast, bad tomorrow, sleet etc, sundays good and monday is great, even for preston, i feel it wont stick though, im too coastal

    If its below 0c why is the snow on rooftops melting?

    Snow may not stick in dry conditions anyway, if the ground is above 0c. If it gets to 0c then the wet roads will freeze, and snow can stick, however its looking unlikely that the temperature will be low enough for any accumulation in Preston

    They're short of power, which is odd, considering a few inches never harmed anyone else where in the same way, only southerners hey...
