Cheers Shaun- hope you're well.
I also hope we bring NetWeather down on Sat/Sun with all snow reports from Pontyates!
Keep everything crossed!
Temperature here in Pontypridd, Upper Boat, been dipping gradually since last post now at minus 3 C, still no snow at all here!! Not even a flake!

Am above Ponty at the top of the Graig hill - Pencoedcae - always a difference of between 1 - 2 degrees down on what temps are in Ponty itself - can see across out the back to the Transmitters on the hill above Senghenydd - which on a day like today is a good place to see the snow coming across from that direction. Usually means a white out if the snow is heavy.
funnily enough that was my guess!! well my back garden backs onto the view of senghenydd just behind tesco - so we both obviously watching this dirty cloud coming across! just heard there also snow in treorchy as well, not a suprise though! temp here 0 degrees.

Still snowing - can see the end of the "shower" though. Didn't expect anything here today - might be the first of many "rogue" showers that gets through
andy where in pontypridd are you exactly!!??? just that its dark here but not a sniff yet at all! would be good to find out!

Trying to snow here in Ponty as well - just slightly at the moment - large black cloud moving in our direction though, so may be more on the way.
same here andy just off A470 upper boat, big dirty dark cloud from the east crept over but did nothing! eeks! still looking very grey though! have been out and about today in ferndale and pontypool, until 12pm but just a sunny day! lets hope now things start to materialise.

stopped drizzling here and now 0 degrees C. lets hope the ground gets dry and tomorrow brings better hope. seen other charts showing significant snow still for south wales - saturday being the main thing to look for. being a newbie though, it seems its the charts which change i need to look at. i am just crossing fingers!
good night all.

more short term the NTW snow risk charts are showing very interesting activity for South East and West Wales for Saturday 9am thru 3am sunday. More or less constant activity of snow. Comments anyone? New to this so someone with more experience who may be able to explain this better - fire away!

latest weather for you in pontypridd 4 C, light drizzle persistent

maybe off topic but - just noticed metoffice has changed their early warning of severe weather, earlier today it was only for north wales and scotland for Friday, now its changed to Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Wales gets a mention, allbeit North Wales!

Been reading through this thread and what seems to be very apparent is the predictors and generally everyone else seems to forget about poor South Wales, Cardiff!!!! Even the charts being provided constantly show Wales as green with absolutely zero chance of snow - even though the Will it snow predictor for my areac shows a 66% chance for Thursday and 100% chance for Friday!!!
Any chance someone can please shed some light on the snow forecast for the Cardiff area! After all, back in February we had the worst snow I ever remember with the main dual carriageway blocked in the space of 1 hour and completely closed by the white stuff!!
Just would be good for wales to be included in the charts being sent out!! Lets hope we do see some of the white stuff!
