  1. Could someone tell me the maximum dew point that you would expect to see snow? I know there are many other factors to consider. Thank you
  2. Yellow warning issued for snow/ice for north sea coastal districts. Wasn't expecting that tonight
  3. -1.6c here with dewpoint of -2.6c and I'm 200 metres from town centre. Just got back from brancaster beach and car showing -1c at beach car park. Did hit -3c on rural roads on way back. Hope the shower's make it into Norfolk tonight!
  4. I'm hoping for some reverse psychology to work a little magic here. Considering I work at a body repair centre with 140 cars onsite already, no courtesy cars left and currently booking drivable cars in February. I could really do without any frost/snow/fog.
  5. 0.8 c with dewpoint of 0.7c Sensor mounted on TV aerial above bungalow. Was freezing according to car at brancaster beach. Lovely sunny morning, just hoping for some showers off the north sea later. Is anyone else confused about whats going to happen? BBC saying one thing, met office something else. Both BBC and metoffice app flip and change on a 3 hour basis. Might just shut myself away from all media and see what happens
  6. So many mixed signals, BBC saying one thing, met office saying another! Never been so confused. Has anyone got a clue as to whether the north of the region is likely to get anything more than a dusting in the next few days?
  7. Slightly surprised with this covering of hail/sleet/snow this morning. Roads were treacherous
  8. Is that massive area of precipitation off the east coast heading in a west/northwesterly direction? We still have nothing falling from the skys, all except my expectations. Met office do reckon that it should snow in north Norfolk from 3pm onwards and be heaviest towards this evening.
  9. Well nothing in Fakenham as yet, still snow lying around from earlier in the week, has anyone seen the latest NAE? I have seen some drifting of the snow towards Brancaster (on the coast) wind is very very strong and blowing the snow across the fields in the gaps in the hedgerows. Wont need much snow if this wind keeps up.
  10. Just noticed chris Bell was using NAE model on his interview On BBC lookeast. Now going for 5CM across the region, hardly worth the warnings LOL
  11. I see many of us have missed out on the amber warnings, just seen jay wynne on BBC24 and they are saying disruption likely to Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Hope we don't miss out as usual
  12. Well I'm in fakenham, central north Norfolk, are the fronts going to pass the region west to east or are they going to pivot and avoid most of us and pass to our south west? It's all so confusing
  13. Left house at 8:45pm and it was reading -10, now -5.5. Gradually warming up. What a shame, wanted this to last longer.
  14. -11 here already, neat screenwash in the car has become more like a slush puppy
  15. Coldest I've seen for as long as I can remember here. Have experienced -30 in a small village called Hell in Norway, near trondheim airport. The name of the village was quite ironic LOL
  16. -12 here now in northwest Norfolk, ice on the inside of the windows in the conservatory. Feel sorry for all the wildlife that has to struggle in these temps. My daft chickens decided to roost in the trees tonight rather than their coop, probably be frozen to the tree in the morning lol
  17. -7 here too, plenty of time for it to drop further. Can't believe rain is being forcast for Sunday, that's really disappointing. Don't want all the snow to disappear by Tuesday/Wednesday
  18. Still snowing here in northwest Norfolk, getting on for a couple of cm already. If anyone could tell me how to post pics using the mobile app I would Michael
  19. Light snow in Stanhoe, northwest Norfolk. About 10 NNW of Fakenham
  20. Very happy with the snowfall overnight, around 4 to 5 inches but it has certainly drifted well! Only managed to get out of the village to take the Mrs to work. Main roads are currently single track and the minor roads not passable. Even had a snowdrift in the house as the back door seal has gone and it faces onto open farmland. I certainly picked a good week to have off work, I'm just hoping there will be more! Any signs of more snowfall affecting northwest Norfolk within the next week? Currently -0.9c, Dewpoint -2.3c windchill -2.6c Sorry, can't post pics as using phone to post Regards
  21. Current weather in stanhoe, north norfolk Cloudy, -1.8 degrees, windchill -15.3!!, dew point -5.2, humidity 77%, relative pressure 1052hpa, wind speed 19mph, gusting 23.1 mph. Brass monkey in the garden is currently crying! Let the fun begin!
