Just a bog standard wet evening for now. Much muggier today though.

*Stormforce~beka* not if it’s only an electrical storm!
-
I’ve had a quick run through 15z temperatures on the whole latest GFS run and I’m sure I can’t see a 20c anywhere. The highest looks to be tomorrow at 19c!

If this system runs East-West along the channel can it be termed a ‘Wight Whipper’ as opposed to a Kent Clipper!?

Interesting day with the Western frontal cloud coming and going leading to sunny spells and cloudy periods.
Right now it’s windy from the South and mostly sunny which is good to try to lift the temperature for a change.

Eagle Eye do you think the first cluster (around 22.00 in Dorset/Wiltshire) will be thundery? Or just the second lot that arrives later in the night?

4.1c and still raining, pretty much nonstop rain for 14 hours! It woke us all around midnight.
This past week’s set up 6 to 8 weeks ago would have been winter wonderland!

Mapantz it was properly cold this afternoon at football when the E/SE wind started blowing.

Small mercies ; dry from 08.00 until 19.30 although it remained extensively overcast.
Heavy rain now and a very wet night on the way.
Max of merely 8.6c, that’s the second time this week that’s not even reached 9c!
-
A spell of very heavy rain from about 05.00 for a few hours but it’s stopped now.
I wonder if it will stay gloomy or brighten up!?
-
Very little rain today, a sharp shower mid morning and an hour of light rain this afternoon. Equally very little sunshine after 09.00 and a cool wind since mid afternoon.
-
jtay yes it’s the opposite of the last few days. Can see cloud on the W/NW horizon which will probably be here soon after 9.
-
Looks like there’s a weak front/trough moving South just like yesterday.
Amusingly yesterday’s light rain/showers narrowly missed to my West and today’s looks like being a narrow miss to my East!
Hoping it will help the sky clear into the afternoon like happened yesterday. Although there have been some brief sunny spells so far.

*Stormforce~beka* nope, it works perfectly for us and has done for about 15 years!

When I got up at 06.00 and saw gloom, mist and felt invizdriz as I popped out to the bin I thought oh no here we go again!
Thankfully it’s cleared nicely in the last half hour and we look set for a sunny spells day.

Fine way to write off 90% of ‘ daylight’ !
Rain started 08.25

Wonderful weekend. Everyone wanted sunshine, we got a mostly sunny weekend. Then people moan it’s a chilly wind. Who cares! It’s been sunny!

We pre booked an indoor attraction weeks ago so naturally it’s been a glorious day!
Mind you the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is brilliant!
-
I remember Atlantic 252 that strip of the lowest temperatures is in line with an area of rain.
-
Epic timing!
Rain started 14.57
Rain stopped 15.31

Got the washing dry and a good walk on the breezy and occasionally sunny morning.
However the delayed cold front means there’s a real risk of a wet school run in 90 minutes from now. Some heavy showers running SSE heading this way.
