  1. Lets hope more showers continue to move in from the north sea and help join up around the midlands.
  2. I dont feel very positive - but im just going to keep lampost watching all night. Never know what could happen in this sort of air flow, surrounding a low pressure systen - although i think if anything significant was coming it would have been picked up by now.
  3. Starting to think this has been a very large scale non event here. LOL.
  4. Can confirm we have had light-ish turning to occasionally light-moderate snow here for the last 45 minutes or so.
  5. Slight covering here this morning - thawed and left nothing now. Doesn't look atm like we're going to be seeing much later.
  6. Tommorow looks like the best chance of significant snowfall in this part of the country since back in february time.
  7. Further south you are the better, least in staffs we might actually see some proper snow at somepoint during the next 36 hours.
  8. I hope this isnt another cold spell that's going to bring nothing here - i might give up if we get absolutely nothing from the next 10 days or so.
  9. Dark clouds skirting agonisingly close to me at the moment.
  10. BBC weather showed the showers eventually moving south from the cheshire gap, so dont lose hope yet. Some very white clouds not far to my east.
  11. Absolutely nothing yet, although i can see big white clouds to both the NW,N and NE. Hopefully those showers from the manchester area will turn out to take more of a southerly track or else me and nick in cannock etc wont get to see anything - or certainly not much.
  12. Admitted after my slightly down beat message earlier, things are looking up a bit this evening. Hoping for a covering tommorow night, perhaps a cheshire streamer forming at some point tommorow afternoon also.
  13. Looking relatively boring next week for us lot particularly right in this neck of the woods. Tommorow night could produce a covering or a couple of cm's in a few parts. Otherwise get ready for the freezing, severe cold and the jealous reports of snow everywhere around the country but here...AGAIN... LOL. Happy new year NW.
  14. As soon as you come over the Hednesford road and chase towards Rugeley, you loe over 80M's altitude, I live about 600M from the power station entrance as well, which causes a problem snow wise - there has been some snow here tonight - BUT it was a sleety mix and the ground was always to wet for snow. As for the metoffice's forecast of 5-10Cm with more in places - thats an absolute utter disgrace and they should stop covering there backs at first attempt and just put a reasonable foreacst out. I give up on snow, i think i refuse to keep watching charts and build ups and just see what falls out of my window - its absolutely horrendous here for snow and the dissapointing feeling when nothing delivers is bloody horrendous!. Disgusted.
  15. Band stalled and fragmented over my head - nothing left of it really - nothing here and puddles everywhere - still raining - biggest let down in recent years - oh since a couple of weeks ago. I HATE this town at times.
  16. Hope not mate - it needs to be bloody heavy to settle here though i tell ya!
  17. Well as far as my eye can see its only snowing lightly and isn't sticking much at all - in relation to nick's 1.5cm in Cannock, we have nothing on the floor bar the odd patch of icey snow on a few car roofs. Dreadful.
  18. Still a sleety mixture here - the transition from pure rain to pure snow is and has taken too long - there are puddles everywhere and a heavy wintry mix falling, any accumulation chances are now OVER - event over and hype OTT as always - the rugeley affect yet again. As alwasy you'll understand my pessimism eventually guys.
  19. Still a very sleety mix..occasionally a little more in the way of snow. This WONT AT THIS RATE AT ANY POINT accumulate.
